Its snug, but it IS a base layer
I had ordered this to possibly replace some aging, thinning fleece pullovers, but when a "large" arrived, it was like putting on a wet-suit. Definitely tighter than i had expected. Realistically, though, it is meant as a base layer, not secondary, and not a sweatshirt. The quality is excellent, and i wish i had seen these before i paid $50 on [Ebay] for a Peckham FR one. great warmth and breathability. These really seem to regulate the air flow and keep you comfortable. if you want a looser fit just upsize. Another note, these don't stretch on the forearm, so you can't really "pull up your sleeves". I usually just roll back the thumb-hole part to expose my wrist and that works well enough.

Great top, odd fit
Very versatile garment, good stitching, high quality zipper. So far, no pilling or major stretching. Sized SUPER DUPER small. When first purchased, I had a 34 waist and measured around 42 in the shoulders with fairly short arms, around a 27 inch bow draw length. Had to get 2XL to be able to fit a silk weight wicking layer underneath and the thumbhole was perfectly placed. Very happy overall.

Well made. Large size is more like a Medium !
Pros: The overall construction is very good with minimal loose thread ends. (Stitching is appropriate for this price range). The base layer thickness would be usable (in my opinion) from approximately 45 degrees F down to around 20 F, maybe less with proper layering. Above 45 F and direct Sun and you will sweat !Activity will of course increase effectiveness. Fabric appears to breath in a reasonable manner. Further testing is needed long-term.Cons: Size large is closer to a medium plus or a large minus, but it’s not sized standard large USA. (Correct USA size large normally fits me with minimal sloppiness but not tight either). Yes this garment is designed to fit directly against the skin and it does have some stretch, but is definitely not a loose fit.Final: I will keep this and only air dry it inside out to prevent shrinkage, mainly because I need it right now and returning items is a massive pain in my arse. I do plan on purchasing the same item, but next time in an XL.Subsequently, I purchased the matching base layer pants in large and they fit fine, perhaps even a bit loose in the legs. This may be helpful for a full range of motion. I have a reasonably fit body for my age with correct proportions so clearly they originally cut the top for someone smaller then the person they originally cut the pants for.Maybe next time use the model that was used for the pants !!!Ratings mostly reflect the sizing issue.

Fit perfectly! I will definitely order again!!!
Okay so i'm not gonna lie; when I ordered this product I was a bit worried about how it would fit due to some reviews stating it was pretty small. Let me preface this review by saying i'm not a small man in fact i'm pretty big in shoulders and in gut. This product fit perfectly without any issues, now due to it being a base layer it fits close to the skin which is what it's supposed to do. If you are expecting this to fit like a t-shirt that's not going to happen however this is by no means too small. I normally wear an XL (can sometimes fit a large) but decided to buy an XXL just to be on the safe side. While i'm confident the XL would have fit the XXL gives me a good amount of wiggle room so i'm not uncomfortable. The material is warm but it's also oddly cooling because it's not super thick and it also wisks away moisture from the body. I actually wore this around outside and it's pretty darn hot out right now at 105 degrees, well this wasn't even uncomfortable so you could wear this outside in most temperatures and be okay. The issue with that is if you are buying this for cold weather I would use this solely as a base layer and add more layers on top of it. This probably won't keep you warm in 30 degree weather by itself. All in all I really love this product and would definitely buy it again. It's comfortable, it's practical, it looks nice, etc. My only real gripe is that since it is a bit on the thin side I wouldn't want to wear this alone in cold weather. I have to say that as a big man who is 6'0 and 280 pounds as well as having big shoulders, the XXL fit me perfectly so those saying its too small probably didn't order their true size but instead the size they wish they were. If you want to be safe order a size up but truth be told the size up is more for comfort than anything. Like i said an XL would've been fine but I like the extra wiggle room rather than feeling like i'm wearing a compression shirt. Anyhow I love the product and will definitely be ordering from Condor again. The shipping time was fantastic as well since I ordered on Thursday and it arrived Saturday at noon with regular shipping.

Size L for 185-190 lbs and 42" Chest
Good quality, nice design, but would be even better if it had pockets. I purchased this because it is machine washable. Some of their other fleece tops with zips pockets are Dry Clean-only which is way too expensive nowadays. Dry Cleaning an article of clothing like this effectively has you buying a new one every 3 or 4 trips to the DC. No bueno.Amazon "auto-size recommendation" is nutty as it 'pushes' "millions of people wear XL" but you should ignore that nonsense. I ordered L (Large) and weigh 185-190 and have a 42" chest and it fits loosely and smartly. XL would be way too large.
