It's a shredder, but a pretty good one.
Perhaps a little small, but worth the money. It shreds paper much finer than cheaper models so you get small rectangles instead of long lines.I've been picking leftover paper out of the mechanism (when it's not running of course) but it does seem to build up fairly quickly. No paper jams yet.

Rather small but very efficient, (A bit like me really!)
Compact, simple to use, and at a really good price, - it's a bit smaller than the defunct one that it is replacing, but quite adequate for my wife and I. One very slight drawback knocking one star off the five is the fact that there is a 3 minute limit on continuous usage, before it cuts out for 45 mins.- to avoid overheating. Having said that, I have just shredded quite a lot of correspondence with absolute ease, and without cut-out, ( although I didn't time it). A thing we do like is that it does shred 'crosscut' and NOT 'strip' cut, the former, I feel is much safer when shredding more sensitive paperwork.

A really good piece of kit at a great price
We have an old straight cut shredder that I inherited from my parents and has served us well enough over the years. It has two main drawbacks. It creates a high volume of waste and that waste isn't as securely chopped up of as that of a cross-cut model would be.I saw this model on an Amazon deal and thought I would give it a go. So far I am very pleased with it. It is very well made and can handle more sheets, at a time, than our old model. The resulting waste has much less 'air' in it and so takes up a fraction of the volume of the waste from the old machine. It is cut into confetti sized pieces and so gives a much more secure disposal. It was easy to set up and use and the instructions a very good. Operation is simple and all the functions work perfectly. The supplied flex is quite short and so one either needs to use an extension lead or be prepared to locate it very close to a power socket. I opted for the former and have had no issues. The resultant shredding's would be almost impossible to reassemble and so one does need to be sure/careful before putting anything through the machine. Maintenance requires that you apply lubricating oil from time to time or use 'specially oiled paper'. Neither is supplied with the machine but both are readily available on the Amazon site. The machine comes in two parts, the shredding head unit and the collection box. The head may be packed into the collection box for transport or when it it not in use. This means it would take up relatively little space in an office cupboard or under a desk.I have used this machine for a few days now and it hasn't jammed or let me down. It has happily munches through plastic credit cards, thin cardboard and several sheets of paper. Small paperclips are easily tackled and the waste is easy to dispose of in our paper recycling box. I believe it would also make quite good Papier Mache should that light your fire.So overall, a very good shredder that is a quantum leap better than our old machine. At the time of writing it is available at a very good price and at that price it is a real bargain. I would definitely recommend this machine and would certainly buy another should I need one.

Good value and powerful enough
Arrived on time and packaged well. Easy to set up and use and manages well with different thickness of paper. Good capacity and has only jammed once so far but solved in a second and was purely my fault. Great machine for the house and a good size (standard size)

Compact, Powerful but Noisy
I purchased this after my last shredder gave out. Works well enough, no trouble with shredding, cross cut also. The only issue is it's rather loud. My previous shredder didn't make quite as much noise. I understand that the motors need to be hefty in these to deal with workload but this little thing makes quite the racket. My hope would be that once the hopper gets a bit more full the shreds will dull the sound.Nice and compact, and works well, but minus points for the noise.

Impressive- so far so good.
I've had a few home shredders over the years and this one seems to be really good so far, it shreds 6 sheets really well and it is pretty powerful. The over heat cuts in and after a short time it starts up again. So far so good.

Paper shredder
Does the job but won't handle the the six sheets that it claims just jams the machine and strains the motor
