Poor quality sound I guess you get what you pay for.. it's been returned and refund issued.

I was after a replacement mic for my aftermarket car head unit as the original one didn't come with one!I was pleased to see that this one had the universal mic connector, so I thought i'd give it a go!I found the cable perfectly long enough to route around the back of the head unit, up the A pillar of the car and up to the head lining by the drivers door of the car.I've tested the mic on several phone calls now and people have all said that they can hear me loud and cloud with no distortion. Road noise can be heard, but at this price point and with the very basic head unit I have, I'd say that this is to be expected.All in all, a good, well priced product which does the job and one that i'd gladly recommend.

Crap noisy people can't hear you ripped off

I record a fair few Vlogs whilst driving using a variety of kit ranging from cameras through to my iPhone, and to facilitate this I use a wireless microphone system.On a whim I ordered this to route into the car so I had a permanent plug in solution for emergencies, ie exhausted battery on the wireless kit.Unfortunately in initial testing audio quality is no better than shouting at my device across a large room which defeats the object somewhat.I have gone to the trouble of routing it behind panels so it can stay in place for the time being, but unless it gets miraculously better overnight it is earmarked for removal at some point.
