I chose this "shed" for several reasons. One is that it is so cute. Another is that it's shallow and doesn't take up much space. Putting it together isn't even difficult for one woman to do. However, when it comes to putting furniture together, something always has to go wrong. In this case the joints don't always line up. The wood is very dry, so when I was putting on the small peak at the top, the screw cracked the wood. Now, the door on that side won't close properly. I'll have to sand the bottom where it sticks and glue the top where it cracked. The bottom shelf won't fit flush, so I'll have to do some sanding on that, as well, to make it sit flat. There were no holes drilled for the feet, but my resourcefulness fixed that issue. Also, the roof pieces didnt have guide holes, making it difficult to align and screw down. The wood is thin, which makes it seem a little rickety. I tightened all the screws with a power screwdriver, which helped. Once it's all put together, it seems ok. It holds everything I need it to with room for more. I'll probably have to put a sealer on the wood to survive the sizzling Arizona summers, but i would have to do that with any wooden cabinet. Overall, even with the issues, I really like it and am happy enough with the finished product.
