Great tool for running water lines. Use to solder, much easier using this crimping tool. I also like being able to move the head in any direction. Much,much less expensive than battery operated ones. Does copper and pex.

The outside case is okay, but the "plasti-chrome" latches seem weak and destined to break soon. The accessories are gloves and a pipe cutter. I guess if you have neither then they will work, but I didn't like them. The gloves look and feel like cheap gardening gloves and the pipe cutter is pretty bulky but does come with a spare cut wheel. Any movement of the case will loosen the metal sleeves from their slots which makes them fall out when you open it up (see picture). Minor inconvenience, but still aggravating.The tool itself is very sturdy and so are the sleeves. It was easy to get the sleeves in & out the tool and also line up a press fitting. Press fittings are new to me but this was super simple and the tool worked great in a confined space, which is the whole reason I got this over the wide-arm bolt cutter style tool. A few pumps of the handle squeezes the fitting and once it stops it's done. I was worried about over/under tightening at first, but I don't even think that's possible. The flared markings (see pic) indicate it's all good.Yes I complained about the case, but I didn't buy it for the case I bought the tool because I didn't want to spend $2000+ for an electric press tool. This thing is SOLID and a great item to have if you suck a sweating pipe or are looking to just add to your arsenal without breaking the bank.

You MUST buy it...
Yesss yesss yesss. I bought 1st the one that handles you need to have them wide open. I saw this one 2 days ago on amazon with hydraulic. Wow wow wow. It works perfect. Not so big. Amd super easy to use and no strenght needed at all... this is the best 128 dollars best used everrr. I bought 2 so my dad could have 1. He used it today on a big job and worked perfectly fine.. no leaks.
