Great wire.
Exactly what I needed. I’m glad they had this in short runs to save me from buying a big roll. Great wire and a good price.

Exceptionally well designed and manufacturerd cable
Physically this cable is a bit of a monster, and I'm not sure I've ever seen cut cable as carefully packaged as this. The overall jacket and individual wire jackets are robust and stood up to pulling abrasion with no damage. Specified braid (>= 90%) is plausible, and the foil shield overwraps itself. A drain wire is provided with the braid and foil shields. Overall size is about 3/8" in diameter; keep this in mind for tight spaces and bends, though no notable issues with a three diameter bend radius.Electrically the cable performs quite well. Wired this cable past an electrically noisy environment (near VFDs and inverters) for a modbus drop, and haven't seen a single problem on the bus over a 50' span. I have no doubt this would perform well on much longer runs.

Bomb proof cable!
For an RS485 cable, this is massive at about 3/8" thick! It has an impressive tinned copper braid over a thick foil shield (with drain wire). Inside that are 2 pairs (4 wires) and two heavy cords. If you're building a giant robot, this cable will serve you well!

rugged cable, well made
The cable is quite thick for just 2 pairs of wire inside, but presumably it's for a rugged environment. The tinned conductors took solder quite easily, and the insulation, both outer and inner seemed to be good quality. It appears that this is perhaps about half the price of the brand name cable, and it seems like a good alternative.
