I was a little skeptical about this when I saw it, read some reviews, both good and bad. Here's what we found out:1. It is possible to find it cheaper if you use Kohl's discounts and the mail-in Kohl's cash, which is the only reason for "Value for the money" being a 4/5.2. This thing is fantastic. It's super easy to use and take about 2-3 minutes to make a simple daiquiri or margarita. Without trying to sound like an alcoholic, we use it every day.3. It's the right size for a single serving, and you can make it fresh every time (without having to worry about ice melting while you're drinking your first drink). With about 7 oz of alcohol and mixer, plus the ice compartment being full, you get roughly a 12 oz frozen drink. That gives about the right slushy consistency.4. The battery lasts about 50 drinks or so until it needs charged again. Charging takes about an hour, maybe an hour and a half.5. Finally, it's super easy to clean and rinse out between uses.Honestly, this thing is great, and I would have never guessed that I could find it cheaper at Kohl's, but a buddy of mine who is a bargain hunter worked his magic and said he could get it for around $125 with coupons and such. Great job for this little gem, Margaritaville!

I ordered one of these last week and it was delivered in two days. It came in a nice box with charging cord, brief instructions, and some stickers. I was happy because I was all set for July 4 merriment. I made one delicious pina colada. With the second drink, the top motor unit won’t come off. It rotates but not enough to release. Only way to get that drink was to release the base unit and dump the drink into a bowl. At this point I’m frustrated, but I really enjoyed those two drinks. Order another and prepare the return.The second unit came today. It’s not in the box, but came just in the white bag. There was no charging cord or directions. Curious. I take the charging cord from the unit being returned and charge the battery fully. This unit assembles nicely but doesn’t respond to button pushes at all. The only sign of life was the charging indicator. I then go back to the first defective unit (that hasn’t gone back to Kohls yes), verify that the battery is charged by running through a cycle on the unit that doesn’t open, and swap that battery into the one that doesn’t do anything. It still does nothing. So I am zero for two with this product. Given the lack of a box, power cord, and instructions, it seems I was sent someone else’s defective product as a replacement for my defective product. So disappointed and I now have two units going back to Kohls.Gonna try *one* more time because reviews are good, my two drinks were good, and I really want a portable drink maker when I go on vacation in a couple weeks. Will update review in a couple days to know if I have three units going back or I’m equipped for my vacation.UPDATE. The third unit arrived today and all seems good. This one came in a proper box, with the power cord, and I’ve made three perfect frozen drinks. I’ve raising from a 2 to a 4. The product is good but getting a good one was a trial! Two will go back to Kohls tomorrow…. Not three.Update 2. Product has performed well at an office celebration, making 12-15 drinks without needing a recharge. Also performed on a sandy beach. Everyone love the texture of these drinks. It’s easy to clean, with the top and bottom coming off. Don’t try to blend fruit with this. That’s not what this is about. Liquid mix, maybe a dollop of ice cream and shaved ice. That’s the sweet spot. And, it’s portable!

Very easy to use. Very portable. A single charge lasts a looooong time. I’ve made cocktails like Pina Colada’s and Coke slushes. I’ve even just used it to make my ice cubes into “snow” for juices and soft drinks. A very sturdy little bar tool!
