Really great value for money
Really great value for money, fast and reliable. Bought to back up an older external in the event that the older one fails - the old one is mains powered whereas this one is powered by the connection to the laptop. Will be buying another one the next time I need to expand my capacity.

OK external HDD for the money
Fingerprint-resistant surface, silent enough, small rubber feet, USB 3.0 A - Micro-B (not like in the picture). 2Tb weighs 217 g + cable. The read/write speeds are not very impressive (see picture), if you are used to SSD speeds. Value is still good (especially I was buying this at the right time).

Saved all my pc games on here almost full and has not slowed down my pc at all, works great

Easy to use
This external hard drive is a replacement for one that is already pull. As with the old one it is easy to use and has a good storage capacity. Very reasonably priced for the job it does.

Excellent product
Very good value. I was looking for reliability, having had problems with Seagate and Western Digital drives before.I've attached this 2TB Canvio Ready drive to a USB port on the back of my TP-Link router, and formatted it with 5 partitions which I use for networked storage. Speed is limited by the USB2 port on the TP-Link router, but so far so good.

Does the job
I bought this to go with my Xbox, not knowing loads about external hard drives but enough to know that this product does exactly what it says it will do. No problems what so ever and has worked brilliant since purchasing.

Ready to corrupt files
Be aware that whilst still small, this drive is noticeably larger than the equivalent Canvio Basics drive. I was disappointed with my purchase, because whilst I have used the Canvio Basics drives for years without issues, the Canvio Ready I purchased had to be returned after a month because of file corruption and Windows warnings that the drive needed repairs. Obviously, this is likely to be a one off issue, but it has discouraged me from ever buying another from the "Ready" range. However, full marks to Amazon for organising a refund (once I eventually navigated to the well hidden option to contact them).
