Yeah, it sounds excellent
very pleased with this soundbase. lets qualify my 5 star ranking and praise for this item... My goal for the TV5 was to consolidate my TV sound and HiFi system into one space saving and convenient form factor. Due to a lack of space, I packed up my component stereo set up. The TV5 needed to replace the stereo for music listening and also needed to provide good sound for TV. Admittedly, I prioritize music over TV, so it had to excel for Music and hopefully be sufficient for TV. Happy to say it sound very good for music... very nice, sweet mid range and full, musical bass. The highs are less pronounced, it is a British company after all. But the highs are there and very warm. luckily for me, this is my preference. This thing just sounds like a well balanced bookshelf speaker... not huge sound with a wide stereo effect... but considering everything, this is a very nice speaker for music... Success! I have admittedly watched less TV with this soundbase that I have listened to music... but that will be the norm for my usage. However, watching a couple movies off netflix, it sounded great. That strong, clear mid range really helps with the dialog and the bass fills the low end nicely. Again, it is not huge... and the soundstage is decent, but not surround by any means. for me, this is fine as I do not care for Dolby Atmos, surround and all those features... I just don't watch TV like that. For TV, just need good sound quality. But, I can say, if you are looking for a system that will bring the movie theater to your home, this is not it. There are plenty of surround systems that will serve you better. But, if you want a great sounding stereo speaker for great sound for TV and Music... this is a steal at the price.

Great choice for minimal TV setups.
Pros:- Audio Quality is always great from Cambridge- The subwoofer is definitely an upgrade over the TV2 but not quite good as a standalone subwoofer carried by most soundbars- No huge power brick so cabling is at a minimum- Comes with plenty of audio cable choices- Works well for movies and for picking up clear voice audio but it definitely excels at music audio the most.- Not as heavy as I thought it would be.Cons:- Remote is kinda big.- Not alot of EQ adjustment options (but there are a handful of presets and subwoofer power levels)

Great for music
The good:* Sounds better for music than TV speakers* Attractive appearanceThe bad:* Giant glowing LED under your TV whenever it's on distracts from TV viewing* Still doesn't sound nearly as good as legit speakers and receiver you can get for about the same price if you're a savvy shopper (or get for much cheaper used)* I do dynamic range compression to be able to hear voices more clearly for TV watching, but then it doesn't sound any better than the TV speakers when watching TVI wanted to like this, but like most soundbars these days it just can't come close to even a pair of small bookshelf speakers and a receiver that are a dime a dozen on the used market.

Needs a sub input
I’m using this as a computer speaker. The mids and trebles are very good. This is what I would expect from a Cambridge Audio product:). However, there is nearly no base leaving the overall sound a little tinny. Overall very happy.

great sound bar at affordable price
This is much better than the Samsung soundbar I got years ago. More expensive too, but when compared to other alternatives it is pretty fair. I have to mention the outstanding customer care. My unit came with 4 out 6 front grill lugs broken. Not that it wouldn't function with it, but I would like to have pristine. So, instead of sending my unit back and waiting to get is back I asked to ship just the from grill. Which they did. It took some time though for them to find a replacement because the USA warehouse had no units available. But it was worth it since I could enjoy the equipment.

Solid performance and good aesthetics
Before buying this I read the UK Amazon reviews and the What Hi-Fi 5-star review. It was a bit difficult to make my final choice between equally priced TV5 v2 and the Q Acoustics M2 soundbase. Shortly, the Q Acoustics raised the price that helped me to pick this one.Sound quality is great, bass & treble are solid, connectivity options and bluetooth that supports aptX are an added benefit. The soundbase is 110-240V so it can also be used anywhere in the US and abroad. I would be pleased if it would have a super tweeter to produce ultra high frequencies in addition to its duo 6.5" subwoofers and BMR speakers, but it is not a big issue. It comes with the "Great British Sound since 1968" sticker on it. Don'f forget, this soundbar is not tiny, therefore check the dimensions of your TV and its stand.

I love it, but one thing...
Looks good, sounds good, it is a beast. The problem is it disconnects from BT way to quick. I mean this thing is plugged into the wall, there is not battery to protect. STAY connected, even if there is no sound for 20 minutes. I get tired of picking the remote up all day long to turn the darn thing back on.

Cambridge times 2
I have 2 of these soundplates. The sound is so crisp and clear. Simple and easy to setup. You can increase the bass on the unit and it will not make what you are watching sound distorted. I would definitely recommend to anyone.

Cambridge performance
For the size, the sound is great. Performs well, does it compare to bose or Fluance not quite but over all a good little speaker.
