I like to carry a water bottle, a phone, keys, and a wallet when I go out walking. Putting them all in jeans pockets was awkward. This vest holds them all comfortably. The zipper pockets are nice. I wouldn't take it on a safari, but for everyday walking around it's fine.

I bought it as a mischief, to be honest, I was looking for practical ways to bring food to a music festival. It worked like a charm, I brought 7 Lyne bars, 2 peanut packs, 3 chocolate bars and 1 bubble gum and only used 4 of the 7 slots available.It also worked to keep my cellphone and wallet safe inside.Zippers are a bit hard to get aligned but after couple uses they softened.

I liked the fit, the fabric, the detail, the overall design. Love the zip-up high collar; it's hard to find vests with this feature. Ditto for it being longer than waist length; those are hard to find too. Very good pockets. Cool enough for hot days. It's a keeper.The one thing it lacks is a zipper that opens from both the bottom AND the top. You need this feature for sitting down, as when I am driving a car, riding a bicycle (in my case a recumbent tricycle).The other thing that would make it perfect would be zippers on the inside pockets. The pockets are good and large, but they only have little velcro patches holding them shut. If the pockets had big zippers, they would be a safe place for me to store my telephone when riding my cycle.

My spouse stole my first one. I like the design as it works for a photographer with good positioning and size of pockets. Available in several colors. The fabric is good quality and has mesh panels for hot weather.

I assumed the zipper would be on the mens' side. Nope.The zipper is also on the (small) fine motor side, which compounds the already awkward function.The pockets are smaller than expected, and there are no internal vest pockets.Over all I like it and it will get used.The snaps feel nice.

I'm an avid outdoor photographer. I have a GIANT backpack that lets me carry LOTS of gear. However, I don't always want to pack EVERYTHING on a short hike or family event. What I DO always want is plenty of batteries and maybe some filters. This vest has mall zipper pockets n either side that work great for a handful of batteries - I use the right side for charged batteries and the left for depleted ones. It also has larger zipper pockets that fit my filter pouch perfectly!I waited WAY too long to get a vest and will never be without one now!
