Durable Quality Item
I purchased this item to travel with. I typically only carry a backpack (no rolling luggage) when traveling, but like to have a smaller bag to carry things while wearing my backpack. I wanted a bag I could carry as a tote when wearing my backpack and wear as a backpack during the day when not moving between locations. This bag was perfect for our recent trip to Europe. I think it's stylish enough but also rugged and I don't worry about it getting scuffed or damaged. The tote to backpack strap was long enough for me, if not offering a *perfect* fit. Which could reasonably be assumed it is not going to be perfect for every person considering the length is not adjustable (I am 5'6" for reference). I did not have an issue making the straps even (just pull from both sides at the same time) and did not feel like they moved too much when wearing as a backpack and walking many miles.I did not carry a heavy load in this bag, but the straps are not padded so I could see how it might be uncomfortable to carry for a long period with a large load. But it was well enough to carry beer and wine to our accommodations from a local grocery store. While I bought this bag with the intention to use for travel I carry it daily now. With my laptop and any other daily essentials. I feel bad for all my other bags collecting dust in the closet. I would buy this again and suggest it to users looking for a durable, attractive, and convertible tote to backpack.

Great bag, I get so many compliments!
The deep red color is quite the eye catcher, I get so many people stopping me to ask about it. Everyone loves the Kanken, but this Totepack is the real show stealer from Fjallraven. The straps and handles are great quality and very comfortable, the trick convertibility will wow everyone and the key lanyard is actually attached to a ring, so you can just clip your carabiner to that if you don't want to leash your keys all the way to the bottom of the bag.The front zip pocket is great for items you don't need all the time, but need to keep separate. I keep my pill bottles in there and don't have to think twice. The inside zip pocket is great for my wallet, keeping items at the top of the bag for easy access. There's another slip pocket that is the width of the bag inside, and is good for keeping a tablet or papers separated from everything else. All of the zippers are good quality, especially the main compartment zipper, and it allows you peace of mind not having to worry about anything falling out.The G1000 is actually very sleek and soft, you never feel like the bag is flimsy or stiff, just the right balance. Some people actually don't even realize it's a Fjallraven bag because they see the G1000 logo before the Arctic Fox and think it's a G1000 bag. It's subtle, but because all of the branding is minimal, it's one of the first things they see.My only criticism is that the tote is pretty thin, which makes it easy to carry, but if you're going to carry anything with dimension like lunch containers, it's going to bulge out and feel tight but still have room above it. Unless you're comfortable with carrying items vertically, it might be the only caveat about the bag.I would definitely order the purple if it made financial sense.

Favourite bag - backpack or handles, it's my new best friend. Great for work and life. Navy is sleek and quite professional!
My absolute favourite bag of all time. I'm a 26 year old female and I wanted something incredibly versitile and durable, but not super casual so I could still use it for work. This Totepack fit the bill perfectly.Outside pocket for easy access to sunnies etc, inside pocket for lip balm and headphones. I love the key string feature - being able to easily find my keys within the bag and unlock my door without putting down the bag - so flawless and functional.I ended up going with the navy so it was a bit more classic and less casual so suitable for work. My second choice was the dark maroon - I might end up getting that too!I wear the bag mostly as a backpack because the straps are so comfy, even when loaded up. I switch to using the leather straps when I'm close to work just so I feel a bit less kiddish, but that's just me! The backpack straps do move around a bit if you swing the bag on, so they can end up a bit uneven. But even if I don't adjust I've had no shoulder pain or anything. Adjusting is super quick and easy too.The fabric seems durable and hard-wearing. I've had no qualms tossing this on the floor of the pub!Honestly can't fault this bag - it's slightly causal look might not be for everyone - I'd recommend the navy or black if this is an issue.I'm in Australia and this was worth every penny, even with the poor XR at the moment!!

Good except for inner pocket design
I love the color (mesa purple) and size of the bag. It's very nicely made! There are a lot things going for this totepack for simplicity and elegance. Two things that didn't work out for me was: 1) there is a small zip pocket, a document/laptop sleeve, and a key strap, all on one side. In order to use the laptop sleeve, you have to lift the zip pocket and put it in. If the zip pocket is full, it's difficult to lift it to get the laptop in and out. My laptop is 13 inch model and when it is in the sleeve, it pushes up the zip pocket rendering almost useless except for very small things. 2) shoulder straps are not adjustable and also when you use this as a backpack, it can travel between left and right. This means wearing it on one shoulder is difficult.
