Wow, this thing is built like a tank
This Spacecase was fairly inexpensive and is built to last. It looks like a hockey puck and is weighty in your hands. I feels like solid metal or something equally durable. It has a magnetic seal so it stays closed. The interior is very spacious and could accommodate a substantial amount of material. In fact, it's probably much too large for me because I use sparingly and infrequently. It does a good job grinding material efficiently. The entire process is mechanical, requiring you to rotate the top of the case while holding the bottom stationary. (Or spinning the bottom counter to the direction the top is spinning.) If you're looking for a Spacecase, make sure to shop around on Amazon because I saw some wildly divergent prices for the same item. There are also non amazon sites carrying Spacecases but, of course, Amazon is very easy to deal with, especially if you have a prime membership like I do.

Not Titanium! just coated aluminum
well first off these arent actually Titanium they are just coated and I am not sure ite even a titanium coating it looks to be really good anodized aluminum - I have contacted Space Case and they have confirmed that they are Aluminum with a coating they say is titanium but its black so it cant beno one makes an actual titanium grinder anymore I have checked all the makers they are just all aluminum which sucksthey have made Titanium grinders in the past and they were light grey in color, I have one and its still sharp some 5 years later almost while others I have gotten that are black or normal aluminum go dull after no timethere used to be purple ones that were actually titanium under the purple coating but those went away pretty fast and now its just all these aluminum onesthe only reason I can see is about the time that they started changing them the cost of titanium more than doubled in price and the process of machining titanium is not easy the bits cost a lot and they dull fast and you have to go at a precise speed or else it will start to just smash it rather than actually cut itBELOW IS FOR ANY COMPETING MANUFACTURES OF GRINDERS________________________________________________________________________________________Any manufactures of grinders out there please take note, if you make actual titanium grinders a 2 piece one make the small and medium sizes large isnt really neededI will pay $100 or more for a actual titanium grinder so if it can be made someone please do it and put them for sale

Perfect
Ok, so I've bought 3 other grinders on amazon and I have returned all 3. The quality just wasn't there. Then I found this grinder. I did a lot of reading up one it before buying. I felt confident that I had finally found a quality piece and wow did I. This thing is perfect in every way. The machining is perfect. The titanium coating actually is very none stick so none of your "tobacco" gets stuck. The teeth are really sharp and stay that way.I bought the large because I don't intend on taking it anywhere and the size makes it easier to grab. If you take care of this piece it will last a life time. I really couldn't be happier and would recommend it to all the smokers out there.

Not as good as you think it is, just a costly hype.
Upon careful examination of each one of these, I found that these items are not as they claim to be; I expected tight tolerances - tight fitting with minimal movement. The tolerances are not as tight as one might be led to believe. The grinders have a lot of "play" or movement from side to side. The action is not as smooth as I thought it would be. A dab of silicone oil on the washer helped alleviate this issue. There is also a varying degree in the strength of the magnets for each one of the units.I smoke pipes and I use this to grind flake pipe tobacco. Unlike other "herbs", pipe tobacco is a lot softer. After several uses, the "Titanium" coating showed some wear. Quite surprising considering that this is supposed to be titanium coated.Personally, I would recommend getting the regular one. It is cheaper, and it will do the same job for a lot less money. There's one caveat though, make sure that you do get a good one. I did not have a good experience with the regular ones either. On the plus side, the machining is good, and the blades are sharp. This item has a lot of heft to it as well.Overall, I expected a lot based on my research, and what people were saying about this product. For what I paid for, I expected tighter tolerances, durability, and smoother action. I am totally disappointed!

Terrible Grinder...shop around for better
Terrible product. I was not at all happy with anything about this grinder. For the price and all the hype the tolerances were terrible and not tight at all. Loose fitting and way too heavy. The supposed titanium finish began to very noticeably wear off after 1 day of light use. Also it does not provide a good quality grind....not at all fluffy... I bought a much better 4 chamber grinder from a better company for only a small amount more money...it is the only other premium top rated grinder (initials are SCS) and am much happier with it. All the hype about my new grinder was actually true...as much as I tried to find something wrong with it I couldn't...the worst I could come up with is that I could have picked a different color over the plain silver...lol. Shop around there are much better quality products to be had than space case.

A million times, yes.
This is exactly what I was looking for. Very heavy duty and well machined. It measures about 3.5 inches across, and its a perfect for rolling on a larger "cigarillo" sized scale. Also, because of it's size, I think it does a great job of not over-grinding, as I typically find that some of the medium to smaller grinders actually create too fine of an end product if you give it more that a couple revolutions. This one is perfect; give it 2-3 cycles and the end product is nice and fluffy, but not too fine. I never wanted any business with those extra compartments or containers for collecting kief, making for a bulkier and gimmicky-looking grinder, so this is perfect for me.
