Already used
We didn't get to use this game as the middle push down button didn't work and it looks like someone else probably returned it for that reason. The box was already opened and very dented. Have returned it

Trickier than it first appears!
This game looks deceptively simple; I daresay the more you play it the more accomplished you become, as you learn to read the board better. The gameplay is very simple and easy to pick up. Essentially you are trying to achieve 4 in a row. There are 16 black and white plastic marbles, each player gets 8 of their chosen colour. You then take it turns to place a marble. You also have the option of moving an opponent's marble. At the end of your go you must rotate the board, using the small "spike" in the middle. This moves the board quarter of a turn - if you have four in a row AFTER the board has been rotated you are the winner. It's a real game of strategy and thinking one rotation ahead, so I can understand why they reference chess in the title. It says it's for age 3+ though I suspect you'd need to be a little older to play a strategic game. Ultimately you can just play without the strategy though and see who wins by a more random placing of the marbles. We really enjoyed playing this. The plastic, turning board seems pretty robust so I think it will last well. They supply a set of stickers to add to the board, showing the game's name and it's a shame this wasn't just preprinted, as it would look better. For £9.99 (at time of ordering) it's a reasonable enough price for a strategic game that can be played by the whole family.
