This voice recorder is perfect for meetings, and easy to listen back to using the headphones or plug and play. The quality of the microphone is the best for the price, and the size of the product is discreet. The battery life lasts for a week, which is perfect if you forget to charge it. The product is small and portable, with a lanyard to attach it to other things.

It perfectly records silence. I left it turned on for a day, and when I checked the files, there were four of them—each 144 MB—filled with silence

I going to have to be honest and say I'm not impressed with this. The biggest problem is the noise. If you think you can click this, record a few thoughts and shove it back in your pocket like one of those old micro cassette recorders I think you'll be very disappointed.Every touch produces so much grinding and scraping on the recording that none of my first 6 recordings were audible in any way. The first time I made out my own voice, the transcript went like this:"CHHHHHHH CHHHHH CHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH""Okay I have now put the recorder down on the table and am not touching it. Testing 1...2...3. Right I am now reaching carefully for the recorder again and about to ...""CHHHH CHHHHH CHHHHH CHHHHH CHHH CHHH CHHH"Then when I plugged it into my PC, my anti-virus detected an HEUR/APC threat and quarantined settime.exe. I had a proper struggle restoring it long enough to tell my AV to leave it alone.I think there is a reason there is a paragraph in the listing dedicated to noise reduction. My trial shows this will only be useful under ideal circumstances where you can set it down in a room with ideal acoustics and not touch it again until the recording is done.

This device is smaller than any I’ve used before & the only drawback I can see is losing it. That said, if you’re in a position to find making voice recordings useful this will come in very handy.Regardless of whether you’re in business, teaching, doing dictation or at home & want to use this as a memo device using these gadgets can be a great aid.Voice activated is a handy option although there may be times when you’d rather choose what you want recorded & when. The instructions are typical of a lot of these types of technology – complicated if you’ve never come across these before. Perseverance is a virtue.Once you’re set up the system is a doddle. The recorder names & dates each session but I feel that the 2hr set logging duration is too long. I’d rather have a feature where I can determine when a session is finished. There’s a low battery light to get charging before you lose your data.The kit comes with the usual USB cables & earphones. Downloading to various devices from phone to computer makes life easy.If you can get over the downsides & have long enough sessions to make it worthwhile, this little gadget is a nice backup device. Small, easy to carry, handy.
