I love this light but it might not be for everyone.-Buying a hub is a must. The light will only turn on and off if you don’t have a hub. I bought the Aqara E1 hub off Amazon for $30. I used an old iPhone wall charger to plug it into an outlet.-The plastic cover on the light TWISTS off. Do not try to pry it off. Instructions make no mention of that so be careful.-Was difficult to pair to the E1 hub because the hub must have the newest firmware downloaded. Everything is easily done through the Aqara app but I was tricked because it needed 2 back to back firmware updates. Pro tip: keep checking and downloading the updates until the app tells you that you have the latest version. Pairing the light to the hub was simple after all the updates were installed.-Main light is not colored, only different shades/temps of white. Main light is blindingly bright and dims perfectly, I love it.-Side light (colored light) works best when room is pretty dark. Colors easily take over the room when dark. In a room with a lot of sunlight the color doesn’t project but it can still be seen (looks a little faded).When I found this light I fell in love but got scared off because I found out that I also needed to buy a hub on top of the already high price of the light. I struck out looking for lights with similar features and decided to just go for it.I don’t regret it one bit, I love the way it looks and performs so it’s worth every penny for me.

Bought it because it was cool. Received a different version of it. All the content creators had a version where the wires came inside the light. I received one that the wires ran through the back. Manual that came with it showed the wires coming and connecting to a module inside. All videos showed the same thing. Wrote to customer service. Had to send pictures of what I received and I should have gotten. After 2 weeks of going back and forth with CS, dead silence. They didn’t bother getting back to me with an update. Thank you Cecelia from Aqara CS for not sending me an update. I returned the 2 that I purchased. I subscribe to their YT and they just recently updated their video stating on was eu and the one I received was a us version. That’s crap because YT creators received the so-called eu version. I own other aqara products and they are great. This occurrence will make me second guess of buying their products and can’t rely on yt reviews
