Installed end of October, didn’t use cart from November to April , it is now 2nd week of may, starter/ generator only has a total of 6.8 hrs of run time on it and the inside just imploded and locked up.

I put this in a 1991 Yamaha G8AG with a Hitachi GSB107 O6K original starter. Fit very well and runs smooth. I did have to replace the Red/Green Connectors with Bullet type, but I knew that from the pictures when I ordered it. I give it 4 Stars because I’ve only ran it a few times since I installed it, we will see how it goes. As of now I am pleased with the product.

The first order that I received was no good after a short period of time the company wrote me back, told me to save expense. They would just send me another new starter and that one was installed and worked fantastic. I appreciate them working with me.

Unfortunately I cannot recommend this product for 2 reasons:This starter/generator was replacing my original Hitachi unit which was fine until I tried to install the bottom mounting bolt. It would not line up with my lower mounting plate. So I modified my bracket to accommodate the new starter/generator.After connecting all wires and connector I turned the key on and pushed the throttle pedal. The motor started running and continued running even after I released the throttle pedal, (Drive was in neutral) and the motor continued to run. Turned the key off and motor continued to run.Had to unhook battery to stop motor from running.I have returned the starter/generator for a refund.I did not want a replacement.I had my original Hitachi starter/generator rebuilt locally and reinstalled with no issues.
