Such a nice camera to use. Thoughtfully designed and cleverly put together. The lens must be something a bit special; as the results I have had so far, are just what I wanted. Shady areas, bright areas and those with both are handled beautifully. Easy to use and fast to switch on - no irritating wait for it to get set!I have two other video cameras (big names too) but not being used now. That says it all for me.!

Takes good videos and stills. Simple to use and turns on/off quickly.The digital Zoom is now 48x.I guess there has been a software update.

Very sharp and detailed footage. Not arty or cinematic but reliable on auto.

Really disappointed because I loved this camcorder. The quality of the video was good and I was particularly impressed by the active wind noise suppression. However, taking still photographs was a significant part of how I wanted to use the camera and it seems to have a fault that the brighter the lighting, the darker the photograph got. Indoor photographs were okay but see the example above - that's a fence panel on a bright, sunny day with the sun behind me.I returned the camcorder to Amazon for a replacement and found that the second camcorder had the same fault (only three difference in the serial numbers) so I returned that to Amazon for a refund.I hate returning things, it's the last thing I wanted to do, let alone do it twice. But I have to offer my appreciation to Amazon for making the process as easy and straightforward as possible.

use it as a c-cam to my wedding setups. even if lower light venues (but not absolute low lights - only sony a7s series will save you there) - this produces an amazing picture quality to have as backup on crane or tripod. great image, crisp and clear, 4k, compact. battey life is poor and hard to shop for batteries in eu with the new laws

Being in the market for a new camcorder the options are very few. The camcorder market has been slowly dying for many years, replaced by phones action cams and cameras. I decided on this one as the equivalent Sony was more expensive and I have been a happy Panasonic customer many times over. In comparison to my 10 year old Full HD camcorder this is without doubt no where near as well made and I fear it will not last. The overall plasticky feel and noise of lens cover on start up is very disappointing. Very sad that 2018 was the last 4K consumer camcorder from Panasonic. Note that some features from its release date are no longer availble to use in 2024. The image quality is good for a small sensor, with the zoom and image stabilisation being the best parts to this camcorder.

zoom is good, quality good, have mic input, value for money

I have only used it once for an indoor concert in a semi dark room and I can only say for a 1080 video the quality is fantastic
