This is a very nice set
I left it heat up for about 10 minutes and it was plenty hot enough, but not so hot that I had problems handling the rollers. I never liked the plastic clips on previous hot curlers I've used so I also purchased the standard wire clips for hot rollers. But I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised with the clips that come with this set. They've improved in the 30 years since I used them before. They held very well and didn't leave weird flat spots in my hair. Twelve rollers was exactly enough for me to roll up all of my hair (and it's thick and long). I left the rollers in until they were completely cooled so that I was sure the curl would hold. I ended up with a very bouncy, voluminous head of hair that looked like I spent alot of time blow dry styling with a round brush. I wasn't meticulous about sectioning and rolling, and it still turned out great. Super easy.

Great quality and worth the purchase
Love this roller set. I have thin curly hair and blow drying makes it straight frizz, not matter what product I put on my hair. Flat irons flatten my hair, making it look too thin. Curling irons just don't give me the volume that hot rollers do. This set is so nice. Heats up fast, the clips hold tight, and it doesn't damage my hair. The velvet rollers don't tangle my hair. Love these hot rollers. A little mousse, then hot rollers, and I have volume and waves. Definitely recommend.

Works well
They are nice but wish you could control the heat level.

Wish they got hotter
These hot rollers gave me volume mostly. Also smoothed it. Gave it some body. Did not curl it. I also blow dried my hair first and smooth it with a round brush then I put these rollers in. I also used a lot of holding moose.I bet if my hair was longer, it would’ve added more curl. If you want curl and you have shoulder length hair you are going to need a smaller roller.

Easier than a curling iron.
Love them. I've always used hot rollers. It's easier than a curling iron. I ordered a $300 shark curling iron and sent it back it just does not compare too hot rollers.

Hair curler
Like this for just the right curl, but not too curly.

Volumizing
I have a bob haircut above my shoulder fine hair. These me my usually limp fine hair great body and lift. I put them in when the rollers aren’t all the way hot as I have a tender scalp. They are warm when I put them in. I leave them for probably 2 min and take out and use my fingers not a brush to loosen the curls. The clips that come with it work great, hold my hair just fine do not slip and have not broken.

Very nice hot rollers
. I am very pleased with this particular set. I have used Conair hot rollers for at least 25 years and have liked them all. This set I like the best. My old set was a different set of Conair rollers and I decided to change it up and buy one with more rollers. The old set had 2 sizes large and very large. My hair is shoulder length and I wanted all the rollers to be one size. I loved that they get warm but not so hot it burns your scalp, which my old set would do when using the metal clips. I find these rollers hold a curl for the full day...and I can wake up and still have fluffy hair. I am deducting one star because the set does not come with the metal clips...only the plastic clips. I ordered a set of metal clips here on Amazon and will likey throw the plastic ones away. The plastic clips do not hold tight while waiting for the rollers to cool. The felt on the rollers hold much better than my old set. Overall pleased I chose this set.If you are looking for a good set of Metal Clips these are the ones I purchased here pm Amazon: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CZNTM8LX?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title
