Disney's Annie [DVD]

This version of Annie starring Kathy Bates differs in some ways from the original film that starred Ayleen Quinn; but it is equally enjoyable in its own way. We miss the exciting chase and helicopter rescue of the original; but Miss Hannigan gets her deserts in a different way but one that is just as good to watch! This version perhaps shows more of what New York was really like during the Depression. It is good to see fresh interpretations of our favourite characters, and I love both film versions of the story. So I recommend this film; just as I would recommend the other version.

This is by far the best version of the Musical "Annie". Don't even think of buying the Albert Finney alternative. I had to buy a new multiregional DVD player just to play this but it is just so worthwhile. It's an absolute classic. "Easy Street" is absolutely perfect.

I love this film ❤️ it's not my favourite version just for the fact that it's not the one I grew up with (the 1982 one is), but it's still so beautiful and is the truest film version of Annie in regards to the show.

Had this originally on vhs some yrs ago and I had to downsize so thru all my vhs out and was gutted when I couldnt see this ne where on dvd especially this version so was over joyed when saw this great cond. del. everything thanks v much

Great to have a DVD that is close to the original show - rather than the terrible movies!

We already have the "Big-Screen" version and my daughter who is a HUGE fan of Annie just HAD to have this version, as well as both CD's, having watched 10 min clips ad nauseum on You Tube! Now very happy she can watch them all joined together. Kathy Bates is very good too!
