The rear shifter does not even move the cables, had it all installed, brake cables cut and cable housings cut to length, now I have to buy new shifters and hope I can use the same cable and housing length.

Work very nicely. Installation is a pain due to the location of the bolt used to tighten them to the handlebars because of the rubber covering, but once theyre on they shift nicely and feel great. Using my thumb to shift instead of solely my fingers took some time to get used to and isnt great for when youre in the drops. But once I got the hang of it I think I actually prefer it. I also ride on the hoods most of the time anyway.

MAJOR DESIGN FLAW THAT WILL AFFECT SOME USERS: The downshift button (activated by thumb) on the hood, can only be activated from the hoods riding position. The rider cannot downshift from the drops. If you only shift from the hoods, this issue will not affect you. If you are the type of rider who utilizes different hand positions this shifter will not work. While these shifters appear to be inspired by Campagnolo shifters, they are not as functional. The Campagnolo style of thumb shifter is positioned, so that the rider can shift from multiple hand positions. These shifters would be an excellent value if the button position was redesigned to be in a functional location.Even though there is a major design issue that renders these shifters unusable for me, I’m still giving the product three stars, because other than the button issue, these shifters are otherwise well designed.The shape of the hoods and rubber feel are excellent. The shape of the brake lever is excellent. The price is excellent.As one reviewer noted, the bolt that activates the bar clamping band, is quite difficult to reach. When installing, you need to roll back the rubber cover quite far to access the bolt. That said, most brake/shifter combos for dropbars have difficult clamp access, so it’s not outside the norm.Before I realized the button issue, I had already mounted the shifters and adjusted both the front and rear derailleurs. With the bike on the rack, the indexing and shifting were crisp, accurate, and had a bit of the old-school Campagnolo “clunk” on the downshift. The shifters felt very solid. That said, I only tested them on the rack and have no idea how long they last in real world use.Note: These were intended for my kid’s race bike, so the pictures show a small handlebar. My kid certainly couldn’t reach the shifting, and even with 36cm bars, my adult hands could not reach. Lastly, I didn’t set the rubber part of the hoods back correctly before I took the pictures, so it appears that the hoods do fit well. The hoods fit perfect and seamlessly when fully installed.

Rear shifter failed the day after the return window. No option to contact seller. Completely useless now.
