Ravensburger Mycelia - Strategy Family Board Game for Adults and Kids Age 9 Years Up - 1 to 4 Players

I bought this on a whim because it was cheap on that day but honestly we love it. The card graphics are cute and fun, the water drops are an excellent shape and feel, and the currency of leaves are also pretty.The game is fairly easy to get the hang of and is well thought out. The tree which the drops go onto is not necessary and is not the best design but is adds a fun little dynamic as a way of determining when, where and how many drops are redistributed to players. I can imagine it wouldn't last long if you kept assembing/dismantling it but it can fit in the box assembled.We've currently only played with 2-3 adults, but the age 9+ on the box sounds reasonable. My daughter at 9 would have enjoyed this, although my niece at 9 might find making decisions hard and may choose based on the pictures rather than strategy but that wouldn't matter!We haven't tried out the bonus cards yet, which add further variety and complexity, but we will soon.

Love it! A relaxing deck building and strategy based game. Unlike a lot of games though you very much plan and control your own game and isn’t a game where you attack or sabotage other players. Takes about an hour to play with 3 at a chilled pace. There’s an expansion set within the box which would give more variety but not used this yet. All components feel and look nice. Overall, very satisfied

I bought this based on reviews and I’m glad I did. We love this game and have gifted two of my friends with the same game and they love it too. Tactical, beautiful artwork and fun. Suitable for ages 10+

The game is great, but mine came missing half of the plastic clip that holds the rotating shrine together. It has two halves, and I a duplicate of one half in place of the other.I contacted Ravensburger to ask them to send the missing part since it seemed a bit wasteful to return the whole game for a piece of plastic worth less than a penny. However, they were unsure whether they would be able to find a replacement amongst their spares and said it could take some time to check. It really felt like they thought they were doing me a favour, not correcting their own mistake.Not wanting to miss the return window with Amazon, I ended up sending the whole game back (opened and used) for replacement. It seems incredibly wasteful, and I was very disappointed with Ravensburger's customer service.To be clear, I have no hesitation recommending the game, and I have requested a replacement. However I was disappointed that it was not properly packed and that Ravensburger were not more helpful.

this board game instantly became a new favourite for me and my partner. the artwork is straight up cute and the gameplay is simple yet complicated enough to make you try to think of the best strategy to get rid of all your dew drops the fastest. the core game is great for your first few goes and for when you want to share with your friends who have never played before. the 'advanced' game simply add more cards and some mechanics which really change the game up. heck, i had 3 portals on my board and i still didn't win! getting to spin the tree portal is always a treat for the person who placed the last dew drop and the fact you have to add 1 or 2 drops back on to your board is a great way to extend the game but not feel like the game is working against you.the only gripe i have is that i wish there was an organising insert inside as this is primarily aimed for a younger audience and having a well laid out box would prevent any confusion as to what components are used for base or advanced games.
