Haven't cut myself yet
Bought to use with electric slicer. Haven't cut myself yet, so they work.

LACKING IN TAYLORING
Thei item seems to be lacking in tailoring to the fingers. Neither were the finger lengths correct nor were they even equal. Sewn in the dark, with their feet, whilst righting manifesto../

Way too big
The ones I ordered were too big for my husband. I'D say order a size smaller, but I'm finding more and more products have inconsistent sizing.

Fantastic safety gloves
These Dex Fit kitchen safety gloves are fantastic! I don't often feel the need to wear protective gear when working with a kitchen knife, but when I do, I'm very happy to have this pair of gloves. Any time I'm cutting something wet or slick I worry that I'm going to slip and wind up with a nasty wound. These gloves have saved me from a bad injury a few times now and I'm grateful. They are comfortable to wear, clean up easily--just throw them in the wash--and help me keep a good grip when I need it.I was originally skeptical that a product like this could offer decent protection so I clamped them to a piece of scrap wood and made several draw cuts with my buck knife just to test them out. At best, the knife left what I'd call a scratch in the material. I was very impressed. Previously I'd only seen this kind of protection from chainmail butcher gloves. The problem with them is they are heavy and I find it very hard to grip anything slick or wet while wearing them. These Dex Fit gloves give the exact opposite experience. Even soaking wet, they don't feel overly heavy on my hands and I've rarely lost my grip, no matter what I'm working with. I've used them for several months now and they are excellent. I don't know how well they'd hold up against an electric meat slicer (since I don't have one) but they've never failed me with any handheld knife.Pros: Inexpensive, durable, easy cleanupCons: None

Slice and dice with confidence. These gloves are going into the cutlery drawer!
The media could not be loaded. CONCLUSION: 100% recommended. These gloves will positively protect against slicing cuts. They are flexible and have a very good degree of dexterity if sized correctly. The price is good for great hand armor. These gloves now sit in my cutlery drawer and I slice and dice with confidence.SAFETY NOTE: These are CUT resistant. They are NOT PUNCTURE resistant. The difference is that a blade slicing across the fabric will not cut it and the fabric will be a barrier between the blade and your flesh. However, if the point is directed at the glove, it will push between the woven fibers and penetrate your flesh. Do not expect this glove to protect your hand if you have the knife point aimed toward your palm.TESTING: The fit is a little on the small side. My hand is 8-1/2 inches around when relaxed and 8-3/4 when clenched. The sizing chart calls for a Large, which I ordered. The large fits me very snugly and gives me really good dexterity and a good grip, but the cuff rides up a little over the base of my palm. If your hand is in the upper 1/2" range of the size, you might want to consider going up one size. I did not test the cleaning instructions, but have posted photos of the instructions that come with the gloves. I did test the protective quality by grasping a large (and very sharp) chef's knife with the blade facing the palm and fingers applying force on the back of the knife. By very small degrees, I increased the pressure, checking after each squeeze to see if any of the fibers were cut. By the end, I was squeezing very firmly and the glove was undamaged (as was my palm). Now looking at the video, I placed the glove on a small cutting block and brought the knife down on it with a hard chop, then sliced the glove with heavy pressure. No damage to the glove at all (but need to resharpen the knife back to razor's edge).

Not quite as good as my last pair...
I ordered the DEX FIT SSF710 Steel Fiber Level 7 Cut Resistant Gloves because I have sliced my hand open a few times because I love super sharp knives. I bought some other cut resistant gloves in the past, and my son has taken them almost all of them. When these popped up, I thought I would give them a try. Here is what I found:PROS:1. The gloves were packaged securely.2. They had no funky smell.3. They fit my hands just fine. The fingers were a little bit long for me but that may just be because my fingers are short. With my current pair, the fingers shrunk a little bit after I washed them, so this may be beneficial in the long run.4. They are actually cut resistant so they do what they are supposed to. I tried to slice them open with one of my commonly used knives, and they did not cut open and that was with me applying considerable pressure.CONS:1. These seem like they may not be as protective as my last pair. You can see from the photo that my knife on this pair did leave a demarcation/indentation line but did not on my current pair.2. I am keeping my fingers crossed that the white will stay white and not get stained. My current ones have discolored a bit from green and red fruits and veggies.3. Price. My last purchase of cut resistant gloves was four gloves for about $16.00. That has been a while, and I know things have gone up in price, so this may be a completely reasonable price. I did not comparison shop. This package has two gloves for $16.99.These seem like the DEX FIT SSF710 Steel Fiber Level 7 Cut Resistant Gloves are just fine. I just don’t know if they are as good as my last ones. They seem like a good product, and if I did not have anything to compare them to, I would have given these 5 stars.
