I like the texture better than the therapy putty from the ortho.

I am sensitive to smells and so I don't really like products that have a scent. I really don't want my hands to smell. If you are sensitive - keep this in mind. It isn't a bad smell per se but there is an odor. I got the putty for help with hand strenghth and am not sure I will use it now. However, the putty does seem like it would work well for fidgitting or for stress relief. OT use may work but it really would depend on the person. I really liked that it comes in 3 resistance levels. That is the best part in my opinion. Kind of pricey.

Easy to use, effective.

Overview: These are great for building hand strength - whether it’s recovering from a stroke or rock climbing or something else. They’re clearly labeled and open easily, but putting them away might be an added brain game.Pros:- clearly labeled: they’re color coordinated and each cap is clearly labeled to keep them from getting mixed up- Build hand strength: the different stiffnesses are perfect for gradually gaining strength. They all feel a bit stiff at first, but get softer the more you mold them.- Kids love them: an added bonus is that kids love them. They’re literally just like silly putty which is 1,000x better than play-doh since it doesn’t dry out.Cons:- Doesn’t break apart easily: I wanted to split it in half to knead one ball in each hand. I ended up with a 6ft long string of putty. Whoops.- Sticks to silicone: they don’t just stick to silicone, they BOND to silicone. This isn’t a big deal unless you’re like my partner and I and have silicone wedding rings…then it can get really annoying- Master pack is a smidge too big: it comes in a nice plastic tube that holds all three containers, but the container is just a smidge too big and the smaller containers constantly flip on their side making it so you can’t fit them all back in without timing the drops perfectly

Whether you’re getting this set of putty for someone who needs to build up their hand strength after a stroke or hand surgery, the elderly or just to keep you busy while watching TV, this is a great product.It comes in a set of three. Each color has a different resistance. Yellow is soft resistance, blue is medium and red is firm resistance. Each color comes in its own color labeled tub and they all fit into a jar with a screw lid.I like that they don’t make your hands feel sticky or leave any residue on your hands. While you’re working with the putty, it does feel sticky but it doesn’t leave your hands sticky. It doesn’t stain at all.One tub, one color, is the perfect size for hand work. However, if the size is too big, it’s easy to just break the putty in two pieces. Once you’re done, just press the putty back into the tub and snap the lid on.There is a slight scent to the putty if you put your nose really close to it. But it leaves no scent on your hands and unless your nose is really close to the ball of putty, you won’t smell it. There’s a lot of difference between the soft yellow one and the very firm red one. These are great for building hand strength.

This is a great tool to use if you have bad anxiety like me. You can pull, pinch, roll to your hearts content. There are 3 different strengths included, depending on how anxious I am, I select the one I think will bring me the most calm. I like that they are different colors and each have their own storage container.
