These are the best way to hold back my hair to the side, or in a half up style. Once you know how to use them, they hold hair more securely than bobby pins and are gentler on your hair than an elastic. There are other brands available on Amazon, some made in France from cellulose instead of plastic. Those are a slightly nicer material, but they are more expensive and do not perform any better than these (so far - it is possible the nicer material results in more longevity). The main reason I prefer these to the fancier brands though, is because the base of these combs is very thin. This means that, when in the hair, they lay flat and are basically invisible. The fancier brand has a thicker base that is always visible and protrudes off your head a bit. I'll test for a few weeks to make sure these don't break, but if they hold up I will definitely be getting another pack to keep in my makeup bag.

I rarely write reviews, but I have to say these are some mighty little clips. Smaller than what I expected, but they held my hair the entire day where any other clip of this kind that I’ve used has either broken or not held my hair at all. Definitely buying more of these.

Only 2 little combs per pack with a very simple design and no thrills look. However it’s hard to find combs that stay in place this well. Super tight hold and easy to get in place even with fine hair.

These are very lightweight and are the best hair combs I have ever purchased. They hold the hair without any slippage or pulling. They are a bit more expensive that others I have purchased, but well worth the money. From now on I will be using these exclusively.

These combs hold thin hair well, and are just like Great Auntie used to wear!

not helpful for fine hair

UPDATE: -uo to five stars now!!!I used a little-way less than I normally would-hairspray, combed it thru my hair with this comb and then put it in. That was 10 hours ago and my hair is still smooth and the comb never budged at all! I never had to push it back in or reset it or anything! All day hold with no thought! Just a little hairspray-my normal $5 a can stuff no big name anything-and I never did a thing all day. Amazing. Simply amazing. And remember they come in different sizes! I wore the normal size today, not the mini, but I will be using that mini too! Amazed!These really are better than normal combs and they do come in different sizes so that is a plus. I have thick, heavy hair and they hung in there better than any other comb I have tried. They aren't a miracle product tho so only four stars, but they are better, so I would recommend them if your combs are constantly falling out.

I was worried these wouldn’t work because they’re smaller than ones I’ve used in the past. But they worked out great. Just big enough to pull back my now thinner hair. Highly recommend them. Very sturdy and grip well.

As soon as I put it on I KNEW ,this is it!I've got big afro curly fine hair and all others couldn't cope.......at last I found those which can! THOSE 2 LIttle thing GOAT!

These are the only combs which stay in my hair which is very fine, silky and, much to my distress, is getting thinner.I put my hair in a French roll and these help keep it up.

Pour mes cheveux très fins et un peu clairsemés, c'est galère de trouver quelque chose qui tient dans mes cheveux. Je travaille à l'hôpital donc cheveux attachés, en plus d'une pince crabe, je rajoutais des pinces clic clac pour dompter mes petits cheveux fous, mais ça rendait mon cuir chevelu encore plus visible. Avec ces peignes, les trous sont bien moins visibles. Je perds moins de temps avant d'aller travailler. Je viens de repasser une commande identique des plus petits peignes et j'ai commandé la taille au dessus pour tester. J'attends aussi ma commande des épingles à cheveux. Hâte de tester.

Great little combs that hold my baby fine hair firm. Being the size they are, they're not bulky either.
