Love USA Made cast iron
Love this little pan. Perfect for a single steak sear, then into the oven to finish. Easy to season, holds heat tremendously well, and lightweight (as cast iron goes)

Great Pan
Skeptical but, I Love this pan... washes up nicely, cooks non-stick and handles heat evenly... great pan.

Closest to the old stuff I've found
This is the best cast iron I've found. I LOVE the old Wagner pans, but I don't want the trouble that comes with getting them back into shape. Lye baths, testing for lead, etc.... I'm not up for making a mistake and jeopardizing my family's health. This is the closest you can get to the old Wagners in a new pan. The design is fantastic. They're light weight and easy to take care of. We're cooking with them on our Cafe induction cooktop and they've been doing great.

Worth the money
If you like the way cast iron pan cooks and want a cookware that’s aesthetically pleasing, you will not be disappointed. It’s also lighter than the less expensive brand. Overall, love it.

Might Be My New Favorite Pan
I'm not a cast iron pro, I don't have the "family cast iron" passed down generations or an array of high price pans, my previous is exposure is that one and only brand you'll find in most stores; I don't even need to name if for you to know which one. I didn't used to be a fan of cast iron pans, on account of how heavy they are and despite my best efforts things would always stick to them. This pan is a game changer for me!I need to point out right away that the lighter weight on this pan is absolutely true and is comparable to a normal pan. I didn't take an actual unit measurement but according to the ol' hand scale this is about the same weight as the non-stick pan I have of the same size! It's still a heavier than average pan but that's a characteristic of cast iron, what's nice with this one though is you don't feel like you're straining your wrist picking it up. Although the pan comes pre-seasoned I did add my own seasoning prior to the first cook in because I've heard factory seasoning can be unreliable. The method I used was a thin layer of crisco and baking it in a 450 degree oven for 45 minutes. I did this 4 times and got a great starting seasoning! Had only a little sticking on the first cook that came off with light scraping from a spatula and I'm sure it won't persist once that patina starts to build up.You're really not losing any of the perks of a cast iron with this, the walls are a little bit thinner but given the durability of the material it's not a concern and the heat distribution and retention are great! As I said, I'm not a cast iron collector so I can't tell you how this stacks up against the other premium brands but I can honestly say that this one is worth every penny, I'm gonna be using it daily, and I'll most likely be purchasing other ones from Field Company in the future! Highly recommend it!

Good care instructions included.
I love this cast iron skillet came with thorough care instructions. After seasoning the pan with oil as directed, I made bacon and eggs that really cooked up nicely. It is not dishwasher safe but easily hand washed right up. It definitely has some weight to it for the size and is such nice quality pan. Definitely would recommend.

Perfect breakfast Swiss Army knife!!
Cooking steaks? Eggs? Texas toast? Hash browns? Corned beef hash? Potatoes? This skillet is perfect. In fact, I just cooked a pair of 8oz steaks a few minutes before writing this. The lack of unnecessary weight, and superb ability to build and hold seasoning.... I have now sold all my non stick cookware. I'm all: AllClad pots and Field skillets.
