Good product 5 out of 5 for me
I just had one installed on my 2024 GMC Sierra 1500. I have the Mangoal front and back cameras. Install looked pretty simple but since it's a new truck I had a shop install it so I knew it was done correctly. I like it so far. It looks great, you can't tell it's not the original rear view mirror casing. Just make sure you order the correct one for your vehicle. The back camera is just a basic back window camera. It works fine.I went with this brand because I didn't want wires hanging down in the front. This brand looks good and doesn't take up any extra space. The only down side which wasn't a big deal for me is that you can only access the app to see videos if your in your vehicle with it turned on. The wifi of the dash cam only reaches about 10 ft.So if you want to see videos in the app you have to be inside your vehicle with it on and disconnect from apple/android auto. It's a slight inconvenience but for me it wasn't a big deal. Its not like you have to review videos often. If you download any videos you can see those in the app anytime anywhere since they are downloaded. The device does come with the sd card so you can always view videos on the sd card as well.Other then that it's a great protect. The videos are clear. Also, I ordered mine from Amazon instead of the Mangoal website because of the delivery time. Mangoal was like 7-10 days I think and Amazon I had it in two days.

Great bang for your buck
The media could not be loaded. I am overwhelmingly impressed. The install was extremely straightforward and simple. It is a OEM look and finish. The app was super easy to connect to and works seamlessly.

Probably the best option for any 2014-2018 (and other) GM trucks
The hardware seems to be of decent quality, mounting is reliable, wiring is good... There is a possibility of an ambiguous GPS harness, of which the manual doesn't mention... apparently you can opt for an additional item that can plug into this to enable speed overlay and exact location / route overlay and review... not really that useful, so I see why they don't push it. There is also a wiring harness (and mounting) that you'll need to select ahead of time based upon your trucks year and options... this should enable you to connect to wiring adjacent to where the camera mounts... ie to GM Onstar / auto dimming rearview mirror, or the GM lane assist / speedo camera that may be present if equipped, etc. The camera also comes with an OBD2 harness, of which allows for parking monitoring and timelapse features... The thing is though, it's a shame that they didn't tap this OBD connection to a fuller extent, as it EASILY could have provided vehicle speed, brakes on/off, rpms, turn signals, etc. Could have all been overlaid onto the footage, and given FAR better data for proving one's innocence in an accident. That all being said though, it does do what it sets out to do, and it does it pretty well... The front cameras 4K footage is of good quality, can be used to read plates, and easily discern the reality in front of you... the rear camera is 1080p, and looks really good as well... both cameras have their own audio pickup, as well as are both pretty good at light balance and day/night footage all around. This is the most subtle approach one could go for though, with the cameras being about as OEM looking as possible. If not for the infrequent Sega Genesis Voice Synth Chinese lady saying some indiscernible thing every now and again, you'd never know GM didn't put this all in the truck. There was one single time (as far as I can tell, I don't check after every drive) that it failed to record and there was simply zero footage of a trip... But I think that was because I'd left my phones wifi on, and it auto connected to the adhoc camera network, and the camera doesn't camera if it's doing adhoc network things. Which is understandable... So long as that's what happened, and this never happens again, then all should be well... That said, you do just kinda have to trust the thing... you can take a glance at the hard to see LEDs, which have a slew of things they could be blinking, flashing, dashing, strobing, probing, or brobing... but unless you want to memorize all the colors of the three unmarked dots, and which ones which, and means what, in what order... they aren't gonna mean much... I know blue is mostly good, and that's just what I look for... not sure about the blinks, bloops, blops, and plops, but blue seems to equal recording regardless of them. It also seems to really do a good job realizing when it's parked, and when to start looking for bump into me events to record, as well as put timelapse into the parked folder VS footage in the moving / dated / time stamped folders... I am plugged into PBD though, so it should be able to tell these things with ease. That's about it though... comes with memory card and more or less everything you could need to install it and get it going. Quality is good... looks good installed... is pretty much the only thing of its kind. Worth getting I'd say... despite having some clear paths where it could improve. It is good enough...

No power to rearview mirror camera after installation...big issues
I did the basic install on my 2024 GMC Denali Ultimate. I got the model C version of this. Connections were very simple. However, once I went to test it out, I no longer had power to rearview mirror camera. I decided to take it out and put everything back like it was. I still do not have power to my rearview mirror camera. Something ended up getting fried. Checked all the fuses, no issues there. Scheduling an appointment at the dealership to get this fixed. Very dissapointed and I hope there is a simple explanation. This look nearly impossible to mess up the install, so can't imagine I got something wrong.

Don’t use the app the directions say
Camera works good. The App is horrible. I ordered 2 different cameras one from a different company FitcamX was the other company (same manufacturer). I couldn’t get my Mangoal camera to connect to the SkyCamm App. I tried to connect it via the FitcamX App and now have no issues with the camera.Use the FitcamX APP regardless what camera you purchase

Updated review**
Updated review: I am very impressed at how responsive and helpful the customer service is for this company. They provided a plethora of solutions and options. They take feedback well and use it to help make their product better. I wish more sellers and companies cared this much. I will update should anything change with its functionality.Original review: My 24 GMC Sierra 1500 x31 doesn’t have the trusty 12v plug. So finding a dash cam has been annoying. Of the two main options on Amazon, I went with this one to save some money. It’s just, ok. It does what it’s supposed to. It looksok. The app is, just ok. Installation was very frustrating though. All the videos are only for the auto dimming mirror. Except for a loose sheet of paper with poorly translated instructions, there was nothing else to go on. I also dislike how tight the dash cam housing attaches to the windshield. It does not feel like I will be able to remove without breaking the oem clips. Had I have known how tight it would be, I wouldn’t have installed and returned. Feel more like I’m stuck with it now. For the price, I wouldn’t buy again.
