Very pleased just what I wanted. Easy to apply and looks good. I just added it to one nail. When I do my toes i will likely put it on top of a colour for all nails

I love having my nails done at the salon, especially with gel polish as it last so much longer than normal polish. The only thing I didn't love was the price. I found that Amazon had a number of UV nail lamps available, and thought I'd give it a go myself. After buying the lamp itself I also needed the polish to go with it, and that's why I bought the Bluesky UV Gel Polish in Asphalt, as well as the matching base and top coats. The main reason for choosing Bluesky was the price, as it was less than half the cost of some of the better known brands.The polish is a great colour, very versatile and goes with just about anything. It is a very dark gray, with just a hint of sparkle to stop it looking flat. The finish is very shiny, as with most gel polishes. I found it didn't last quite as long as the salon polishes, but that didn't bother me as much as I usually get bored with a colour after a full week. It still lasted long enough for me to be happy with the quality.It was really easy to use, though time consuming when you haven't had much practise. Base coat, then cure with the UV lamp. First coat of colour, then cure again. Second coat of colour and cure once more, before applying top coat, curing one final time, and finishing with a wipe over with acetone to remove the sticky residue.A few points to bear in mind:The polish has a slight smell to it when wet that the professional ones don't. It disappears once cured, but it might put some people off.Thin coats work a lot better than thicker ones. You can always apply two or even three coats to get even colour coverage, but thicker coats just look messy.ALWAYS wipe with acetone after applying top coat! Many people don't realise this and so wonder why the polish appears wet!The base coat and top coat are not optional, they are necessary for the polish to work.Overall, I am very happy with this polish and have already recommended Bluesky polishes to my friends. I now own 12 different colours, all made by Bluesky.

Perfect colour and quality

Beautiful rich chocolate brown colour, went on smoothly in one go, didn’t even need a second coat, lasted over a week which is long for me, easy to remove and a decent price

I absolutely love this, over any base colour is amazing, but honestly, the darker the base the better, over black I could see blues, purples greens reflecting, over white I could see pinks, pale blues and pale greens reflecting on it, over red I could see pinks and purples over it. So I never tried bright colours but I bet they would look amazing aswell, over black tho is absolutely stunning, you don't really need much more than this to make your general nail polish look like a completely different polish

A lovely matte finish as advertised however when curing this top coat under UV lamp it gets hot and burns! Have to do in 5 seconds bursts until it's cured enough to stop burning/conducting the heat. Probably won't use again after this first time.

So a nice colour. Definitely what I was expecting.
