Very adjustable and comfortable
Unlike most shoulder rests, this one can be bent to customize it for your shoulder. Padded foam on one side, bendable metal on the other. Some have complained about it falling off the violin, but because it's flexible, you can move the feet closer together until you get a good snug fit and it will stay on.

This is a fully adjustable shoulder rest.
I have been playing the fiddle for three years using an inexpensive shoulder rest. The only adjustment option was a moderate change in the height. Recently, I was experiencing pain around my collar bone and neck while practicing, so I purchased the Wolf Forte Primo Shoulder Rest. It's sturdy. You can adjust the height, and you can bend the bar that has the foam on it. You can also tilt the bar. The foam is thick. You can bend the brackets with the feet to fit your violin, and you can turn the feet to the right and to the left. The feet are covered with thick rubber so they won't scratch your violin. I am very happy with this shoulder rest because I don't have pain anymore. This might be because of the thick foam and because I was able to adjust it to be higher than my previous shoulder rest. Somebody said this shoulder rest is only good for people with long necks, but my neck is not long and it works for me. Somebody else above asked if it would fit a 7/8 violin. I have a 7/8 violin, and it fits it very well. I highly recommend this shoulder rest.

Good
This shoulder rest couldn't have taken more than two dollars to manufacture, and it's selling for thirty dollars. This is one of the best shoulder rests, but I think prices for shoulder rests are generally high and this should be closer to $15 or $20.It's basically a strip of foam attached to a moderately thick strip of metal with legs. The foam is nice and firm, the leg sleeves are coarse rubber, and it doesn't grip very well, but it never falls off because of the good design. It allows me to play with the violin more to the left and nearly parallel to the angle of my body. The Fom shoulder rest I had before couldn't stay on my shoulder for fifteen minutes, and it could not support me. I have a long neck, and other shoulder rests like Kun and Fom don't work for me.

BEST SHOULDER REST EVER!!!
I used a sponge in place of a shoulder rest for the first few years I played violin. The first shoulder rest I used was a Resonan Resonan 4/4 violin shoulder rest. I used it for about a year. Well, I got a different violin and suddenly the shoulder rest didn't fit anymore, even though it was a full size violin. I would try to attach it and it just fell off. I decided I needed a better quality shoulder rest and decided on this one. When I first put it on, I put it on wrong, and it pushed in on my skin. Once I figured out how to use it and got used to it, it worked really well. I love this shoulder rest. So much support! I could do my vibrato better. At first, I couldn't even do vibrato without a shoulder rest. Now I couldn't be happier. This is a GREAT shoulder rest. I have now used this shoulder rest for 4 years without any problems.

Falls off constantly, for long necks only.
The school requested we purchase a neck rest when my daughter chose violin. I think we could have purchased a $4 foam job from the music store, and in retrospect I would do just that even though I can afford "better".My 9 year old daughter has a long neck, so this is okay in that realm. When my younger son was born we joked that he was born with no neck, and he continues to be a kid without much in the neck department, a feature only my husband and I actually notice. I would push back on any neck rest for him, but I certainly would not buy this again. Also, this thing falls off constantly. I spent more to get higher quality, but you would think that would mean not having to fiddle with it (see what I did there) all the time. It makes me frustrated for my daughter who has to deal with it constantly. I should probably give it fewer stars!

A new violin student
As an older new violin student, I struggled to hold it correctly. I looked online and purchased a rest that was not adjustable enough, and then I found the Wolf violin rest. All I can say is that it fits my 4/4 violin, is comfortable, and, best of all, it's easier to play, which was what I was looking for. I recommend it to all new students.
