Princeton Tec Remix LED Headlamp (Blue/Dark Blue, 450 Lumens White and Red)

The default behavior of this light is switch on with a dim red light that preserves your night vision. Many other LED flashlights and headlamps get this wrong, first blinding you with brilliant white light before allowing you to select red which defeats the whole purpose of the red light feature in the first place. Kudos to the Princeton Tec engineers for getting this right!If you do want brilliant white light, it certainly has that. You just need to consciously select it.The build quality and materials of this headlamp are top notch and it is lightweight and comfortable to wear. Last but not least, it is made in USA!

Seems to be a good little headlamp for hunting. Turns on red so you don’t have to blind yourself cycling through to red. Easy to switch to white light. AAA batteries so you can swap in the field if it dies, not a fan of rechargeable ones, where battery is unknown and fire hazards. My uncle burned up a bedroom with 1. Look forward to putting it to work next week.

The media could not be loaded. The light is easy to use, I like that it starts in Red light low, it has a single switch that if pressed multiple times it will get brighter and a press and hold will switch to white light. It is nice and light, seems well made but I am a little disappointed in the battery door as this seems like it will be a failure point. I also am unsure on the weather resistance of it. It does not seem that well sealed against the elements. The low power mode leads to a long run time.

Great headlamp. Red light turns on first when activated which is an excellent feature. Both red and white lights are very bright. Battery life is great. Housing is durable. Highly recommend for the price the feature set is superb.

This was a replacement for my older Remix which I dropped and broke the battery door unfortunately. Love this lamp, specially the red for viewing animals in the dark and not blinding them. Highly recommend.

I have had headlights which had both white and red light. They never had a way to turn it on as red, use it red, and turn it off as red and knowing it would be red the next turn on. This light meets that requirement perfectly. In the quiet hours of campgrounds most ask for no white lights. This allows meeting the requirement.When I want bright or dim white light I can have that too. After which it is easy to get back to a default red at turn on.The light has been used for a month and there is no sign of diminishing light. That is good battery life.The ability to use the built in clip is useful. The button is large and easy to feel. The tilt range is satisfactory to me.I like it.

Excellent functionality but horrible durability! Pros: My primary use has been morning and trail running. It’s low profile, light weight, plenty bright, and the red light is great for predawn roads. Cons: Battery life is not as advertised and the durability of the battery case (snap) is terrible. Simple and routine battery replacements gradually damage the snap closure. No way to avoid it.
