I love this type of tea maker. No taste of a paper tea bag and I can make up to a 16 oz cup. It’s easy to brew and easy to rinse out between uses.

I needed a replacement for my old teavana one. This works very well. I drink a lot of loose leaf tea daily and this fits the bill! You won’t be disappointed.

Unfortunately, the tea maker doesn't come with instructions for cleaning. I bought it because my Teavana unit has become fairly stained, despite many attempts at and methods for cleaning. I haven't used the new unit yet and won't until I can get information on how to clean it--or I'll just return it. Also, I don't know what stainless steel means, as there's none on the tea maker.

Now that I've tried a gravity tea steeper, I don't think I can go back! So much easier to steep loose leaf teas and the gravity design is very smart. The strainer is very fine and can accommodate even the smallest tea leaves. I find myself reaching more for my loose leaf teas whereas previously I would sometimes get lazy thinking of the cleanup with my normal strainer. I like that it comes with it's own coaster and that the gravity steeper is nice and wide, perfect for my wide mouth mug.That being said, I am just a little disappointed with the quality of the plastic. It is BPA free but the plastic is a bit thinner than I would like and feels just a little cheap and flimsy. The top squeaks at times while opening and closing. Really really wish it was dishwasher safe, though hand washing so far suffices. I also wish it came with cleaning instructions, but I figured out that you can pull out the tea strainer at the bottom, and then carefully apply pressure and pop out the bottom for rinsing. The lid doesn't appear to come off. Overall would still recommend, just note that it isn't glass.

This tea infuser will hold up to 20oz of water so you can make more than one cup at a time, if you wish to share with a friend. It is easy to use, and easy to clean. All the seals and gaskets are removable to sanitize and sterilize to avoid any mold or off flavors. The clear body allows you to see exactly how much tea is being made. Add loose tea, add hot water, wait and then place it on your mug. The bottom of the pot raises the plunger allowing tea to flow into the awaiting cup. The mesh screen filters out any leaves, so no worrying about that. Nothing can be simpler.

Preparing tea in this tea infuser has been a total game changer for me the taste is so smooth and delicious any variety of tea has come out so nice this is such a great gift for someone who enjoys loose leaf tea it is very easy to store and not difficult at all to wash
