Pearl River Bridge Mushroom Soy Sauce 500 ml (Pack of 2)

We first bought this during lockdown as it was the only soy we could get in! What a discovery! This is a very dark soy, with a distinct flavour, that vastly improves all our Asian dishes. Gone with the overly salty common brands that we used to buy, this is about flavour. Mushroom based, but to my undignified palette, I wouldn't have known. I just know it's tasty and adds a rich colour to our stir fries, homemade hoisin, homemade black bean sauces etc. We have now bought this multiple times.Occasionally we wait until it's on offer and almost always buy as a two packEnjoy.

This is a very rich and dark soy. The flavour is fuller and earthier than dark soy. To me it adds an enhancement to the smokiness of an extra hot wok. It gives the end dish a very full and authentic flavour. It doesn't taste just like mushrooms, it tastes like a very savoury and rich soy sauce, but really not typically mushroom. Mushrooms are known to add a very savoury edge to many dishes and are they are great used in vegetarian cooking for enhancing stews and soup flavours. Consider the mushroom flavouring in this soy as a massive flavour boost.Really good soy!

Fantastic value for money.The sauce is very rich and dark great flavour Would buy again .Also its great for using in a tomato based sauce to take the bitterness out.

Be careful cooking with this stuff.It's like a concentrate.First dish I cooked I used it like any other soy and it totally blanketed out every other flavour in the dish.I now use a tea spoon per wok.

Would recommend this sauce to anyone wanting decent tasting soy sauce. Well packaged and great delivery, will be buying again without hesitation.

Honestly after reading the reviews I had a good feeling ordering this soy sauce but literally this is the worst I’ve tried. I agree with this other review I read - tastes chemically & to this this is a pack of 2 500 ml bottles, really don’t know what I’m going to use this on. Waste of everything

Saw the advert, which stated (pack of 2), opened my delivery, to find only 1 x 500ml bottle ! Not impressed !, Trade descriptions Act comes to mind !
