Good looking old faction radio
Great sound for its size. I received it 5 days ago and I am happy with it.

tricky with the bathroom placement
Overall experience is very good. Bluetooth connects beautifully when I play music from my phone in the bathroom in the morning. Yes, in the bathroom - If there is one thing one has to be careful with is the placement of the radio especially in a tiled environment so the bass isn't to overwhelming - and that can take a bit of time and patience. Otherwise, when placed in a regular room/kitchen it sounds beautiful.

Permanent low volume hum
The power circuitry in this radio causes a low mains hum which never goes away. It's fine if you want to play something at high volume, but it's really annoying if you want background music in a quiet room.

Not worth the money
The audio quality just isn't there. Bass is way over bloated and muddy, almost no matter how you place it in a normal kitchen environment or room. You can take it down a notch or two, but still not enough, with some foam or fabric in the reflex tube underneath.Workarounds like that shouldn't be necessary at all with a piece of equipment at this price though.Just put a toggle switch or dial on the back for bass adjustment! What's more, while the four sides of wood are of adequate stiffness, the fronts and back are of thin plastic that vibrates a lot when the volume is up.Both of the above contribute to mediocre sound quality. Quality speech reproduction which is the hallmark of a good speaker and absolutely a necessity to be of at least adequate quality in a radio, is compromised. The Bluetooth feature is pretty bad too.More often than not it takes several tries to get a connection going even when standing right next to the reciever.BT sound quality is pretty bad even compared to normal radio and line in. So this is the old low bandwidth version of BT that sounds dull and lacking in detail. Why not put AirPlay in? That is to be expected at the price, and would be a far better solution on all accounts. The tuner dial was put on slightly crooked on mine, not a big deal but still a bit of an eyesore whenever you see it. Again, I expected better quality control from Tivoli Audio. And like already mentioned in another review, there is quite audible grid hum even when music is playing at low volumes. This is something even much less expensive radios seem to be able to get right.Tuning sensitivity which is supposed to be one of the radios strong points, while not exactly bad, is not that impressive. In comparison I can pull down more stations with my iPod nano radio than with the model one in the same spot. For shame!
