Massive.
Weighs three times as much as my OEM portafilter. Excellent heat capacity due to sheer mass if that's what you're looking for to balance out temp surfing. 440g bottomless+handle (275g portafilter alone without handle attached). Bottom cap+spout adds another 150g of metal mass.Drawbacks: Spring clip holds baskets very firmly. A bit of a chore to remove the basket, we'll see if that relaxes in time or I might have to mod the clip. Ears are slightly thick for my *old* model Gaggia Coffee Deluxe; it can only go about 1/8th of a turn before it stops, sitting 10-20 degrees left of center. So far it does establish a seal, but I don't know if this will be an issue long-term.Note: There is a slight chamfer from 58mm id to 55mm id about 24mm down the inside which the bottom attaches against. My MHW-3Bomber BEP 20g basket (which is about 26mm tall) seems to just fit, but I don't know if a taller, 22g basket would clear it.

Great little portafilter
Working as well as the $80 portafilter that came with our ECM Machine. Perfect tight fit and matches up nicely on group head.

Better taste, little more mess.
Bought this for gaggia classic pro. Started well with the bottomless. Works fine and feels rigid, and more pro handle feel. Afrlter some shots I noticed it sprays a little, so the main problem is cleaning the surroundings. The additial piece makes this a nice but regular portafilter.

Good Investment For Me
Works great with my Gaggia Classic.

Been using this one
It’s a better bottomless portafilter than spouted one. The spout friction fits in with a silicone gasket. Still good either way. Feels solid and the wood handle is nice. I think it punches above its weight in terms of value.Had to fix my stock Gaggia portafilter (rusted handle bolt) so got this in case I ruined the original. Now that the stock one is back in operation, I’ve been using this one bottomless. I like the length, not too long, not too short, and feels good in the hand. The heft is nice. I can’t complain, especially for the price.

Pleasantly surprised
Replaced my bottomless portafilter and it's nice to still have an option of bottomless. Sometimes you just want to make a quick espresso without it spraying everywhere before work.
