Magnetic Lock for Door - 600lb Electric Magnetic Door Lock Kit, Access Control System with 2 Remote Control

I litle bit confused to install, i recomend a electrician to do it.

Excellent product for my door

Mounted the control box on the wall and terminated the 120v to the line side terminals. Power light (red) illuminated and checked output voltage, which was 12v at the terminals. After about three minutes there was a pop, not an ac pop, rather an electronic device pop. a few seconds later, the red led went out and there was nothing except 120v on the line terminals. Since I ordered this December 20, 2023, my return date expired, and Amazon washes their hands of it after that, so you basically have to eat it. (12 of 22 Sunco wall packs failed last year and Amazon basically says sucks to be you ) This project was for a new construction district attorneys office, so I had to trash the bad unit and replaced it with a 12v transformer for opening due to no time to argue about return, or replacement. I spend alot of money with Amazon, but their stuff is getting to be pure junk. I am back to local electrical supply vendors where they warranty and stand behind their products. THIS DOOR OPENER IS JUNK!!

You can not set up by yourself. You need someone who is expert in this field. I paid $500 for the set up in my store.

I purchased this very strong magnetic oor lock to make our home front door stronger against the kick in the front door type of attacks. I plan to do something similar to the keypad example given in the product pictures, with the addition of control with a Hubitat smart home controller.

This maglock is the real deal at 600 lbs hold. I have not tested it to that load, but my gut tells me it will do it no problem. Usually, these are installed on doors to control access but I'm using it in a different capacity. I'm a metal fabricator and thus have a very large and solid fixture table that I can use for all types of projects. One of my recent shop tool builds is a precision sheet cutoff machine. Think just the gantry section of a cnc table machine. I can attach an angle grinder, plasma cutter, or router to the head in order to cut, score, or engrave about any sheet material out there. In order to anchor this machine to the table, I didn't want to use mechanical fastening as being able to reposition the tool, or the sheet under the tool easily is necessary. So I have two of these maglocks on the base of the tool and when powered on, I have 1,200lb of pull force holding that tool to the table and it doesn't budge a millimeter! Quality maglock here, if it works for this use, it'll hold your door shut no problem.

This electromagnetic lock works well for creating a smart door lock. I pieced a smart lock system together using this magnetic lock, an access control keypad, a power supply, and a button to exit. Putting this together was a fun project, but I don't recommend it if you are not very familiar with electronics and DIY stuff regularly. The instructions aren't really clear, and even after several YouTube videos it took me quite a while to figure out the wiring and get everything setup the way I wanted. On top of that, this lock doesn't come with any kind of angle brackets so it only works in a certain configuration. If you need an angle bracket, you'll need to buy that separately.Overall, this is a good electronic lock for an access control system and it's pretty affordable. I recommend it.
