I'm an EMT, and have one of these and a littman lightweight II (3 times the price) and have compared it to everything up to a cardiology 3. No stethoscope I've held this against apart from the cardio 3 is as good as this. Period.the earpieces are not soft, but the clear ones seal my ears perfectly. I use a stethoscope all day and my ears get sore very easily, but this one doesn't give me any problems.It's not light, but if you're the type who thinks one pound draped around your neck is too much, you need to seriously consider your overall health.Nobody is going to steal it because it looks like every other fischer price piece of junk out there. And if they do, big whoop, $20.I can easily hear bloodflow, determine insanely subtle lung sounds, and detect almost any valve abnormalities. The cardiology 3 has -slightly- better acoustics, but unless you're a CARDIOLOGIST, $200 for a stethoscope is just not smart when this is 98% as good.There is a tiny bit of sound interference if the two tubes start rubbing against one another, but in the back of a loud ambulance bouncing all over the place, it's never been a problem, and the superior acoustics of a dual tube setup when still have been more of a help than a hinderance.Every medic. EMT, or nurse that I've let use my omron has went and bought one for themselves.

This was purchased as a gift for my grandson to play with.....which is exactly all it is worth. Does not work, the ear pieces are very uncomfortable and the device doesn't allow you to hear anything at all. I read all the review before purchasing this item and followed all the directions reviewers gave in the proper use of the device; but all for not. It simply is just a cheaply made prop, made to look like a functioning stethoscope, but without at useful function at all. I would not recommend at all.

good for prop only which is why i bought it. i cannot hear my own heart beat through it to save my life. ;)

I have atrial fibulation and have a very hard time feeling my weak and uneven pulse, so I just wanted a fairly inexpensive stethoscope just so I could check on my heart rate, but with this piece of junk I can just barely hear my heart from only a single place anywhere on my chest. Don't bother with it if you want one that works.

Does NOT let you listen to your heart beat. I‘m glad I only needed this for Halloween.

Didn't know I could change modes by twisting at the chest piece. Highly functional and a good exercise tool and maybe even a toy for kids and teens that love doctor roleplaying.

I bought these for my 6 year old granddaughter who already wants to be a nurse. I have been examined dozens of times Good quality at a very good price.

Bought to listen to the bees in my bee hives through out the winter. Works perfectly!

Can’t find my heat beat not sure if working

The ear piece hurts the ears. It’s very difficult to hear and it’s very stiff. Not good quality. Not worth it.
