Just got the pen. Just wrote with the pen, and I love it. The chrome and gold is very stylish in person. Doesn't look cheap and it writes like a dream. This is my new favorite pen. I usually prefer fountain pens, but they aren't as portable. This pen I can take and use just about anywhere and still get the comfortable smoothness of a fountain pen. Will update this review later if anything changes, but for now, I'm thinking of getting the black variant of this pen and the Keyzor fountain pens as well. It really is that nice of a pen.

I wanted a nice pen that I could use in meetings ... something substantial that writes well and shows that I am someone who cares about quality. There's something about going to a presentation in a well-tailored suit and writing with a plastic office store pen that just doesn't match. This pen looks fantastic ... and feels just as good. It has some weight to it at almost 2 ounces. I tried a Montblanc pen, which actually felt lighter than this ... but decided I'd try a less expensive pen before diving all the way in.This has a 0.5 mm fine tip. Some of the photos in the ad seem to show a medium tip but I'd say this gives you a line just about as thin as your average inexpensive gel pen. It writes nicely ... maybe due to the weight, I notice that the last half of words sometimes look lighter than the first part. I attribute this to my own fatigue/not pressing as hard at the end ... not so much to the ink in the pen. I need to get used to writing with a 2 ounce pen is likely the issue. Beyond that, the ink distribution is bold and even ... the best part is that this doesn't smudge. I tested it by sliding my hand over a just-written word and not a single smudge can be seen. As someone with big hands, I might prefer 1/2 inch more pen to hold but when the cap is affixed to the top of the pen, it is relatively comfortable to hold, although some texture at the nib would keep my finger from sliding down when writing.I'd probably prefer silver hardware to the gold. It says it is 24k gold finished, but the gold looks a bit more towards the orange side than the copper side. However the black lacquer on the pen's body is classy and does not seem like it will wear out. I would prefer not to have the brand name written across the middle band as I think that cheapens the look a bit.Overall, this is a nice pen that looks and feels substantial and impressive. It writes well, with some practice, as long as you apply the same amount of pressure throughout. This is an entry level pen ... made in China, likely, although they seem to make a big deal that the replacement ink cartridge is made in Germany. I will likely upgrade to a fountain pen by Montblanc if I find that I don't lose this or misplace it. Writing is like sleeping ... you don't realize how much of your life you spend doing it, so having a quality item such as a pillow, pen, etc. is a luxury treat that you should afford yourself.

The media could not be loaded. Feels very luxurious, writes very smoothly, and the ink dries very quickly so it doesn't smudge even with a marker test! The pen comes with an extra ink cartridge too! The weight of the pen is well balanced and has a good quality feel to it.

This is a very nice pen, and would be a perfect gift. It comes packaged nicely and is very professional looking. It writes smooth and doesn’t smudge.
