Bore sight laser AR-10 (308)
Worked like a charm. Wanted a green laser but couldn’t find one for this caliber. Used it after sun went down and point it at a white pvc fence to sight my Pulsar Trail II LRF XP 50. Made some thermal targets for the range and used it to sight it. Immediately when I turned it on it was 3’ away to the right of my target. When I eventually went to the range it was only 3” to the right. If I wouldn’t used this laser I wouldn’t had ann idea where it was hitting because it would’ve miss the 4X4 target! Great tool to zero before going to the range. Of course rifle was cleared and no ammunition around it while zeroing the sights. Happy customer & fast delivery.

easy to use with a minor gripe
easy to use, just put the batteries in with the + side to the rear and the laser comes on. you have to remove the batteries to turn it off and this is where my gripe comes in. there is no case to keep the laser and batteries in. seeing as this comes from china, how expensive would a small injection molded plastic case cost to put the laser and batteries in since you cant keep them in the laser? with the economy of scale, $.15, maybe $.25? they have one for the 9mm and 5.56 lasers from the same brand dont know why there isnt one for the .308 version. as far as accuracy goes, i havent taken the rifle i bought this for to the range yet but it only needs to be good enough to get reasonably close then you can fine tune whatever load you chose to use. every different brand and bullet weight will change the impact point anyway

Does the Job
I ordered this one because it is a combination. 308 and .243 bore sighter. I read some of the earlier reviews and have some thoughts about what was said and how this bore sight works.I used it in lower light. Not based on the reviews so much as I would have anyway, but it was bright in lower light and not too bright either. I noticed it was better to turn your scope down to a lower magnification if you have a variable power scope. If your scope isn't variable power it will still work, however the aim point won't be as precise. The batteries worked for me so that was not an issue. I unscrewed the cap and dropped them in. I bore sighted one rifle and confirmed zero on two others. When I was done I just took the batteries out and put everything back in the package. The lack of an on / off switch was not an issue for me. Though a professional may appreciate a switch. To each their own and everyone has different needs.I did notice the bore sight took a few times before it oriented properly in my barrel. I dropped it in the chamber and closed the bolt. After a few chamberings in my bolt action .308 I was confident the bore sight oriented properly. This was verified in my other .308 and my .243.5 stars for the price. If this were a $50 item I would have given it 4 stars as I would have expected more. Your mileage may vary. But this bore sight got the job done.

Decent product but use in lower light conditions
I ordered this bore sighter along with one for my 5. 56 on the same day. I received them both together and found that the 308 did not work with the batteries they sent with it. The 5.56 did work so I tried those batteries in the 308 and it did work, leading me to the conclusion that the batteries that were sent with the 308 bore sighter were bad. I contacted the company and they sent me more details instructions on how to operate the the view sighters but that did not help so I notified them again about the continuing problem. They them all me off I could buy more batteries and I told them that I felt like it was their responsibility to send good batteries with the product since it did not work without the batteries. I told them that I would buy new batteries but, that it would reflect on my review of this product and that I would not buy from them again. THEN, they decided to do the right thing and send me more batteries or another bite sighter. I haven't received that yet so I am not sure what they sent. I would have been happier if they would have done the right thing and replaced the batteries right off the bat. I did try the bore sighter at around 3:00 PM on a sunny day and found that the bore sighter was useless in this much daylight. If you get one, use it in a little darker environment or you will not be able to see the laser. I am glad the company decided to make this right but, I wish they would have offered it first before I had to barter with them.

Works well, but not easy on/off
This seems quite accurate and well-built. It’s easy to use and performs its function quite well. There’s no on/off switch meaning you have to remove the batteries when you wish to disable the laser. Something as simple as loosening the rear cap to turn it off would be better, but alas, that isn’t in the design.I would rate it better if there was some way to turn it off without having to remove the batteries, but for the price, I guess I really can’t complain too much.

Good to zero at yard or less
Not bright enough to use beyond 50 yards on a sunny day. It will get you on paper at 50 yards or less. At 100 yards it works if targets are in a shady spot but in direct sunlight you will see or find where the dot is located. I used the green dot also and it’s a way brighter but it will have same problem at 100 yards if it to bright outside. Indoor range they both work good if it not to bright on the range. It does help to get it on paper just start out at a shorter range then work your way up to 100 or 200 yard
