I’d like to bore you with my love story with my Dyson V8, but if you don’t have time and are looking for an honest review, I give this two BIG thumbs up. If you’re interested, I’d like to tell you my vacuum story.My aunt had a Kirby. I can’t tell you what it cost but she’s had it since 1974. It’s great, for her. I, however, couldn’t afford or lift a Kirby so my vacuum life started cheap and small, like the Dirt Devil with an umbrella handle, I think it was $39.95, and it worked ok for my small studio. When I married and bought a larger house, I wanted — some would say needed — a better vacuum, but I was cheap. My husband said “invest in something good” and I didn’t. I ended up foolishly buying 3 $100 vacuums and hated each one. Then I bought a Bob Pet, which was completely worthless and led me to pick up the new (at that time) Dyson V8. I swear it was love at first use. I vacuumed unnecessarily. I bought one for my mother and best friend that Christmas. I will admit, I was a bit obsessed and completely happy. That was 5 years ago.After five years of sucking, my V8 became loud, temperamental and finally stopped working. When I plugged it in to charge the light would turn blue to flashing red. I thought I needed a new V8 and was about to pull the trigger when I read I could simply replace non-Dyson parts from Amazon. I took a chance and read reviews. One review said it wasn’t the charge cord like I thought it would be, but the battery inside. I also read reviews for this item so when I bought a new battery (FORMIKO 6.0 Ah 21.6V Lithium Battery Replacement for V8) I picked this this motorhead for hardwoods up too. I also bought replacement filters. All together under $100 and OMG, it is like new! While I needed the battery for my V8 to operate, it became clear that the MOTORHEAD was the gem. It is quiet, powerful and now has a light! It glides across the floor seamlessly between my rugs and hardwoods. Did I say it is quiet?This item is simply the BEST money-saving, vacuum-saving $40 product I’ve ever spent.Along with a $50 battery and $12 filters, my V8 is like new and loves me again.Thank you!

Works like original but has added bonus of lights which helps see dirt and items you could miss without lighting excellent replacement for worn head

So this vacuum head rolls so easy compared to the original one, I vacuumed until my dyson ran out of battery the first time I tried it. My old original head has NEVER rolled smooth since it was brand new. I have all concrete floors and this thing takes no effort at all.

It fits the Dyson vacuum perfectly and I love that it has a headlight. But my vacuum doesn’t seem to suck as well now. Like the it doesn’t create a seal with the rug to really create a vacuum the way the Dyson head did. Leads me to believe it’s the vacuum head we replaced.

This one fit my V10. It's lighter and much quieter, almost made me wonder if it was even working ! It's not as good on carpet as the Dyson version, but I saved that one to use for that. This works great on tile and hardwood. I didn't notice before but it doesn't suck in reverse? Great replacement for the original Dyson brand.
