The item is small enough to fit unobtrusively by the TV. For my particular use, I found that I did not need to use an external 5 volt supply, thus simplifying the instalation and avoiding the need for another 13 amp socket.On the negative side, I found that the unit uses the same remote control language as my Freesat set top box which causes problems in operating both devices. As long as you are aware of the problem it is not too difficult to overcome it.

Small compact, does what it does.

Definitely takes 5 inputs and outputs them fine to a TV.There is a small delay when cycling through where the screen is black, but it gets there in the end.It does require power. And, naughtily, It doesn't explicitly state this in the listing. Also I tried to power it from the usb port on my telly, this would've been ideal but it wasn't sufficient for laptop input (worked ok for consoles). Plugging it into a dedicated DC supply worked fine for everything.The remote isn't that powerful, requires full line-of-sight and to be near. Even then is a bit hit-and-miss. There is however a good physical button on the actual device which reliably cycles through the inputs with a satisfying haptic experience.Finally, while it's a good size, it doesn't look the nicest. Front on it looks great: sleek and minimalist - it's clear when it's on and which input it's on, however there's loads of unnecessary tacky white writing all over the top that makes it look cheap.All that said, it certainly does the job and worthy of 4 stars.

It doesn't support 4K.Seems to be built really well, looks smart, and the auto switch works great. But I'd only get it if you are happy with 1080p. If you want 4k, then look elsewhere.

1 st item cabled up the unit correctly, powers on, but the manual button doesn’t work, nor does the remote. Useless HDMI Swicth, which switches absolutely nothing.Returned for full refund. Left review 1*Seller then sent out a replacement to rectify the issue of the 1st item (which was refunded), can not fault the seller, new unit now works correctly and it was FOC.Changed this review from a 1* to a 5*

Remote not work without switching manually

quick and easy to install i used this to split 3 signals to my sky glass 55" from my computer sand game consoles to prevent cable swapping. The quality is as expected 4k 60fps in my instance as the screen is a 60hz screen, it may do higher frequencies but i cant determine that myself. Remote is standard and works fine in my room from all distances up to 6 foot away. If you need multiple hdmis to be switched its priced very well and performs great with no artifacting or signal loss.
