My go-to whole bean coffee
Mmm! I love the taste of this coffee! I grind the beans fresh and use an Aeropress to brew my one cup of coffee each morning. The taste is rich and not bitter. This is my go-to whole bean coffee!

Good Central American whole bean at a great price
I have traveled to Central America several times per year for work, and fell in love with good local coffee from the Matagalpa region of Nicaragua. I usually bring a few pounds of whole beans back with me, but was looking for a easily accessible cost effective bean to fill in the gaps in my supply. While this is not quite as good, I have been pleased. If you are looking for a good, medium roast coffee with a smooth and slightly nutty taste, then give this a try. It's not "Casa Cafe" but not bad.

if you're looking for a medium roast coffee, this isn't it.
what i liked the most was the fast delivery. it arrived in 2 days! seriously, the coffee was fresh. that was very good. however, the coffee was very poorly roasted. it was supposed to be a medium roast. in fact, it was a very dark roast; the beans were black and shiny. no good. i couldn't drink it. ended up giving it away. it's a pity because the price was also very good. now, i am afraid to take a chance on the amazon coffees.

Phenomenal value, single origin Nicaraguan coffee!
This coffee is the real deal. I’m a total coffee snob too. You open the bag and it’s a delicious, classic Central American coffee with a sweet, nuttiness. If I’m being super particular…the aroma of this roast is more of a 7 than a 5. Light to dark 1-10….I grind this up coarse by the half pound and make cold brew with it. Really good stuff. The Central American origin comes right out of it. Smooth, low acidity, sweet, almost dark chocolatey. I just ordered up another 3 pound bag of the single origin Amazon brand Colombian coffee to see how that goes too! I know finding reasonably priced single-origin African coffees has been hard recently but I’m waiting Amazon!

Very delicious, an excellent value
My housemates were super impressed and thought I'd bought some extra fancy, expensive coffee.

Great Taste. Cold brew, French Press, Espresso, Drip, It Tastes Good Either Way

the marketing was way better than the coffee
I have been trying a new source for medium roast coffee beans to make my daily espresso which turns into a latte with steamed milk. Favs are Kona, Yirgacheffee from Ethiopia, Tarazzu from Costa Rica and now trying Nicaraugan beans. They are reputed to be grown in volcanic soil and have "chocolate overtones." I tried one pound bags and ground enough to use the first time today.the early verdict? Rate 1.5 out of 5 stars which is being generous. It has a somewhat strong metallic smell and taste and no hint of chocolate. I ended up adding honey to drink the latte. It sounds a lot like marketing at work on the reviews. I will try it in my Moka pot which tends to smooth coffees out some versus pressure espresso machine but do not plan to buy Nicaraugan beans ever again. It did not smell like coffee beans when I opened the vacuum bag. Just my opinion but for my tastes that is what counts.
