Good coffee beans- please don’t raise the price !
We prefer organic coffee beans, if we can get it. ( We’ve been told there are a lot of terrible things added to regular coffee beans , so we avoid that) . Nowadays, as you all know, coffee is expensive- and though its supposed to be cheaper to get the green beans, and roast them yourself, we’re really not interested in doing that- lazy i guess..ha ha. Well, these are actually priced better than the ones we usually buy at our local store, so we order these. The taste is good, smooth and thats that. To be clear, we are not coffee efficianatoes- sorry- experts…but we know what we like. And we like these. Hope this helps someone out there…coffee cup-cheers to you !!

Awesome Organic Whole Bean Fair Trade Coffee
Okay, this is some yummy coffee. I accidentally got the whole bean, and I am so glad I did. It is so fresh and has the smoothest flavor. The acidity seems average, and the dark roast smell is divine. I am loving this coffee so much.

Updated 3/23/2018: This is now offered on subscribe & save, and now my life is complete 😍 I looooove this coffee! I just started drinking coffee a couple months ago and became very picking, very quickly. I will preface this with the fact that I do not drink hot coffee because no matter what, it always tastes bitter to me. I ice my coffee until it's colder than Indiana in January (ugh), sugar before the ice, and a splash of milk to make it look like it'll stain my teeth a little less than drinking it black. I got a really great deal on a Keurig that sat on my counter for about six months before I bought a sample pack of coffee shop k-cups from the store. I really liked the coffee shop coffee, but wanted to try different k-cups to see what I liked the best. After going through a package of 36 and feeling horrible about throwing all that plastic in the trash (I'm an avid recycler, so it killed me a little inside), I decided on a stainless steel reusable k-cup (thanks, Amazon!) and wanted to grind my own beans. Before my coffee grinder and k-cup filters arrived (thanks, Amazon!), I was off to the store to get myself some Starbucks mocha something-or-another. It tasted like chocolate, but it was too much. I liked the hint of chocolate that I got from the coffee shop coffee I had tried first, but this starbucks nastiness tasted very fake. So, I was on a mission to find the best coffee that had notes of chocolate, and a coffee that wasn't bitter. I found Kicking Horse Smart Ass coffee beans (medium roast) and was IN LOOOOOOVE. Oh my good gravy, it was good. The price tag was not good. I went through a bag of beans in 11 days and had to order more. In the grand scheme of things, it's not THAT expensive, but I couldn't justify buying it as frequently as I was. I tried a couple other coffees from Amazon that were just okay, and then found this Amazon Fresh Peru Coffee. Life just got so much better. I swear this is the same exact stuff. The flavor is the exact same, it's fair trade and organic, just like Kicking Horse, and the price is unbeatable! The only thing that would make it better is if was offered on subscribe and save!! I'd buy it every month and wouldn't even feel bad about it.

Good value
Good value and price. Not the best tasting, a bit sour and too light - but again a decent choice to have on hand that doesn’t break the bank.

Surprisingly Comparable to a Coffeehouse Roast for a Pourover
We have a gourmet coffee club at our office where we bring in fancy roasts and do pourovers via Chemex or Moccamaster and we get all bourgie and critique the coffees. We also have a Philips grind and brew for everyone who just wants a cup and for that, I usually buy medium roast beans in bulk from Costco. Anyhow, we were out of coffee and I couldn't get a large enough order to justify a Costco business order, so I looked on Amazon for something decent but inexpensive. Hence, I landed on this bean. The other day, out of curiosity, I threw this in the Moccamaster and thought it was actually better than some of the local fresh roast. Light citric on top and noticeable sweetness o of lighter side of medium. I actually came on here to buy more and noticed that the price had gone up by more than $1 for the 12oz bag. Still a good deal and find.

Really good Bean
I'm a big whole coffee Bean person. These smell so good and this bag was big enough to fill my little glass whole bean jar. The smell when you grind it is unbelievably wonderful and The taste is so robust and not bitter it's a really great coffee bean. The roast color has a dark brown and it's so fresh smelling.

Disappointing from Previous Orders
I’m disappointed in these beans. They are not fresh and the roast tastes a little burnt. I had switched to beans instead of ground because the flavor of the ground was too dark and was not fresh. I have used this product for years but the quality is not what it used to be. Probably a lower grade of bean roasted dark for flavor. The price has not changed so I suspect it is a lower grade of product is being used. I still use it because it is organic and it is cheap. I would pay a little more for better quality.
