Works but get some clamp sensors
Got this to balance my radiators, works perfectly But you will need to buy some decent radiator clamps fro Screwfix, not the cheap orange chunky looking plastic ones sold in here.

Useful meter, good value
I bought this meter to replace one I had had for many years, and which really needed re-calibrating. This new one was a considerable improvement on the old one, benefiting from microprocessor technology rather than analog. It comes with two thermocouple probes but one of mine was faulty, the end had not been welded.I'm sure I could have returned the instrument for replacement, but as I had a spare probe from my old meter (which actually had a higher temperature rating) I decided to use that. I have seldom if ever needed to use two probes anyway.Happy with my purchase.

Max, Min and Average functions have a design fault
Good value if all you want to do is measure two channels without having to swap probes. Credible accuracy from ice and boiling water tests. However, the MAX, MIN and AVerage functions are useless. This is because when the unit is switched ON a momentary incorrect reading is displayed with a value a long way from the actual reading which immediately follows. Sadly this reading is used in the data collected to work out MAX, MIN or AVerage. The only way (that I can find) to reset a MAX/MIN/AV display is to switch the meter OFF/ON.Also, even if these functions did work, they would be of limited value because of the auto battery saving switch off after a few minutes can not be disabled. What a shame; all these design issues could have been resolved by software. Also, the prop stand behind the meter is useless. The three stars a are only because the basic 2 channel measurement works - otherwise only 1 star.

Good delivery and appears to do exactly as it appears

does not seem to give an accurate measurement in liquid

Great piece of kit
Great piece of kit, arrived on time, works as expected with included thermocouples and touch temp probe which I bought separately.

Perfect for a cheap digital thermometer
You get what you pay for, except you can find the same unit for over £50 elsewhere on Amazon - I would hate to pay that much, this sub £15 unit is inexpensive. The plug sockets are a bit nasty and you may have to wiggle the plug to find the socket. The rubber boot self glues itself onto the case so had to be pried off with a small screwdriver, the screw holding the battery compartment on was missing (the boot holds it in place anyway) and the battery rattles about and needed padding in some of the bubble wrap the unit came with. Don't expect any calibration certificates etc. This can be used with just one K-type probe as well as a differential 2 probe unit.Having said all the negative stuff, this unit is absolutely perfect for a cheap digital thermometer
