Q: does it need to be washed?

I don't know if it"needs" to be washed but I put it in my salad spinner with greens. The water softens the texture so it is not so leathery. I guess there is also the possibility of some sand that you wouldn't want to chew on.

Q: Why do you charge almost 100 for the same product you can buy exactly the same, for 7 dollars???

This is a SIX pack of 2-ounce bags of Whole Leaf Dulse. A single bag currently sells for $16.87 on Amazon: ASIN Number B003NR18MG. Beware of cheap fakes, they probably contain mercury, lead and other deadly toxins! BTW $16.87 x 6 = $101.22.

Q: my pulse bags arrived but they all look moldy and smell like mold? is that mold or is this normal???

Sounds normal to me. What appears to be mold is probably salt. The dulse should feel moist and smell like the sea. Most people don’t like it but I do. I guess it’s an acquired taste. My Nova Scotia grandparents always had it on hand.
