Hitachi 22E30 Class FHD 1080p LED HDTV with Remote, 22 inches

A superb 22” HD TV. Crisp clear images so life-like makes you feel part of the program. Excellent sound from bottom edge mounted speakers. These are very similar to a high quality sound-bar and present sound off the back side equal to the front projection. This is a decided advantage in a kitchen where one is moving frequently in a 180 deg arc. My TV is wired via HDMI to a Charter converter unit and the remote is synced. ‘Have tried camera & video input - works perfect. ‘Outstanding for rapid action sports!

I dont usually take the time to review many items but im verry pleased with this tv. For the price (89.99) it is an absolute steal. The picture quality is honestly better than my vizio which is an equivalent 1080p led as well. The sound is totally acceptable for the class. I placed it on a shelf where a 24in class would not fit but in my mind I got a better performing unit irregardless. I dont know if its even possible to wall mount this but I would not reccomend it as its on the thick side. But for kitchen table/counter, bathroom, or office locations you cant go wrong. choose this tv over 24class tvs that cost almost double this...

Great TV, but a center stand would have been appreciated. I had to reverse the 2 legs so it could perch on the DVD player I use underneath as a stand.

I bought two of these so that I could have a matching set of monitors for my desktop. I bought them for the sole reason being that the description says the screens have a 120hz refresh rate. I was skeptical, since the package they arrived in weighed less than twenty pounds with BOTH of them inside. I had seen other reviews about how cheap the legs of the stand are, but the whole frame is made out of the same crappy plastic. I left one of them in the box, and carefully opened the other to allow myself to repackage it if necessary, and the second I plugged it in, my graphics driver read the screen as a "1080p" (it wasn't, you lose about a quarter inch on each side of the display, and the graphics quality is awful) and it was only 60hz. I immediately printed a return label, and have already gotten my refund. I will never buy anything from this company again, and I sincerely hope any that read this will also refuse a similar purchase. This TV is worth $75 at best, but I still wouldn't ever pay that much.

I have been familiar with Hitachi equipment for many years and its always been top quality. I even bought a Hitachi Superscan Elite CRT monitor back in 1997 and the picture was beautiful and the quality could not be beat so when I was looking for a 20 - 24 inch tv/monitor and saw this I bought it instead of other brands that were cheaper but usually rated high thinking I was getting the best. That was not the case. The picture on this unit looks like the old LCD ones before they started LED backlighting them. It blurs a lot, has weird grey shadows in dark areas near bright ones and characters(text) has stray artifacts around them. It also gets very warn for a tv this size that's supposed to be LED backlit. The sound is decent but the speakers are underneath and right next to each other, if they were further to the edges it would produce at least a little stereo separation.

Picture and sound are excellent for this product. Easy to set up the TV. Hardest part was connecting the tiny screws from the stand to the TV. Sound is awesome at level 25. Improvement could have been TV stand instead of the flimsy legs. Very good small inexpensive TV for the bedroom. Highly recommend. Comes with remote & 2 AAA batteries.

The picture quality and sound quality are not good, even for the price. I expected better. The sound is muffled and even with adjustments it was not good. Picture quality was poor especially from the side. I don't know what others are comparing it to but I was unhappy with it. I tried it with HD signals and was still unhappy.The biggest problem with this TV is the limited picture format options. There are only Normal, Wide and Cinema. I use this TV with a standard definition box in the kitchen. My cable provider, Suddenlink, seems to be unable to understand that they need to set all the channels with the same format so I am always having to change the format on the TV. The most common one is a 9x16 picture with top and bottom letter box for a 3x4 picture. On other TV's such as Samsung there are a couple of Zoom formats which work great. Not so with the Hitachi. Normal has the 9x16 screen with black space on all sides. Wide had the picture stretched with black space above and below. Cinema fills the entire screen, but over-stretches to cut off picture on each side.The point is, if you need flexibility with picture format, this is not the TV for you. I am sending this one back.

Outstanding TV which exceeded our expectations. Excellent picture with terrific clarity. We mounted under our kitchen cabinets and the 22" size picture can be seen clearly from any place at both our kitchen table and in our large kitchen. It is not a smart TV for streaming, which we didn't need in the kitchen. For the cost, it is the best TV I ever purchased.
