Nice tea balls
I'd given up on drinking loose leaf teas because I absolutely hated the infusers I had. I decided to give it one more try so I purchased this set of tea balls. The set of six arrived in great condition - no dents at all.The balls themselves are fine mesh and feature a long chain with a cup hook on the end. I've found that the chain is long enough to work even in my larger cups. The hooks stay in place so I don't have to go fish for the tea ball once the tea has steeped. The closure on this type of tea ball is what made it great. It's a little latch that firmly fastens the two halves of the tea ball together with no escaping tea leaves. I simply fill half of the ball, fasten the latch, hook it onto my cup and I'm good to go. When I'm done steeping, it's a simple matter to open up the latch and dump the tea leaves out. The tea ball cleans up quickly and easily - something that my other infusers didn't do.I am really happy with these tea balls and am thinking of buying a set or two to include in gifts for some of my tea-loving friends.

A highly satisfying tea ball experience
Bought this 6-pack of tea balls when my old ones started breaking after only a few months of use. I must say I was quite happy when I received them. They were smaller and rounder than the old balls, which had started to suffer from wrinkling and discoloration. I do not think the size difference will negatively impact my tea-brewing, as these can still hold quite a lot of tea inside. Overall, these balls are shapely and aesthetically pleasing. Two other factors set these balls apart as a definite improvement over my old ones. First: they have a longer chain. This allows the balls to dangle more freely in a wider range of cup sizes. Second, and most importantly: the seal on these tea balls is very tight compared to any I have used before. Whereas leakage of smaller bits of tea leaves was a problem with the older balls, these new balls seem better able to contain all but the tiniest tea components. It is nice to finally own balls that do not spill their contents in unwanted places.Overall an excellent product!

Good backup strainer
I use tea from Teavana. I like to think that it is large pieces of tea (i buy the stuff that has whole berries, or cocoa nibs, etc), but like the other reviewers, I still get floaties in my tea because bits and pieces leak out the edges. Overall, it works alright and I like the fact that I now have a set of 6 that have a chain long enough for most travel mugs. Unless you have a very thin cup, the hook is too small to fit on the edge of the cup. I will be making a small weight to attach to the hook in order to allow the hook to just dangle off the edge of the cup.End of the line: I will be using these until they break, keeping a separate strainer to catch my tea floaties. If someone I know gets me something else that works better, I'll keep these as a backup.

I've usually get really great ones from Lupicia
I've usually get really great ones from Lupicia, but because they were on sale for Prime Day, I figured I'd give them a try.I honestly could do without these. I'm not sure if it's the set that I received, but the link that holds the two halves together didn't seem to be as tight as they should have been. I used two of them several times, but once the tea leaves expanded in the hot water, the halves separated enough that quite a few leaves got loose into my tea. Despite that though, they worked alright. I usually don't mind some floaty bits in my tea, but when it's green tea, the loose leaves can get really bitter after a while.

Good, not the best
Good product. Since I was paying just over $2 each I was ready for something that would be good enough but eventually fall apart. I just opened the box last night and the only thing that isn't top notch is the hinge, if you zoom in on the hinge part of the product picture you can see that it is a band of metal that goes through the two sides. Because of the size of these the other half of the ball doesn't automatically line up to the peg when you close it. I have a 3 inch tea ball that doesn't have this issue, and the main difference is that the hinge metal is longer. The chain appears to be good quality. I've had other tea balls where I felt that one of the links in the chain would pull apart.

Perfect for couples that want singles - we're still talking about tea, right?!
These tea balls are just what we were looking for. My wife was given a cast iron tea pot that serves two, but sometimes we want different teas. With these tea balls we can make single cups! Tip: place the heavy side of the open tea ball (side with the locking lever) into a shot glass to hold it while you load the tea.

Beware all the happy 5 star ratings
Beware all the happy 5 star ratings. I have just started tea drinking, for a couple months now. I started out with a tea ball from the English Tea Store, but over time that ball got worn and the seam started admitting more leaves to my cup of tea. I saw these and all the good reviews and bought the package. They work as well as my WORN OUT tea ball, i.e., admitting all kinds of crud to the bottom of my cup. I drink a breakfast tea that has fairly good size leaves, so these balls should be doing a better job. I ended up ordering a couple more tea balls from the English Tea Store and kept one of these for a pepper ball infuser when I am cooking but tossed the rest. Save your money - try something else.
