Love the Percy Jackson series, and this special edition is SO COOL! Hoping they do this for the rest of the series!

Absolutely love this special edition. The story is so great. I’ve always loved this series and how well written it is.

A must have for fan's of this beautiful universe Rick Riordan has created. My favorite part has to be the inside of the hardcover, both at the beginning and end. The inside of the front cover has a map of Camp Half-Blood while the backside has an overview of the USA with various highlighted points of Percy's journey. This excites me for I wonder if he'll be daring enough to change it up every new deluxe edition. Because, I'd bet it would be cheaper and easier to keep this section identical for the 5 books. So, will he change a broad overview of the US to a broad overview of the Sea of Monsters(Bermuda)? Will he change it later to a broad overview of The Labyrinth? Will he change it to a broad overview of Camp Jupiter when the deluxe version of The Lost Hero arrives? I have no idea, but Rick has the perfect opportunity to make these books look gorgeous when you have them all together. The lighting bolt detail is another one that I hope changes by the book. Details like that I hope evolve to make each book unique and worth buying. For if they remain identical they'd begin to feel un-deluxe. The same excitement plays in for the 10 illustrations. Will we continue to get 10? More? Less? I don't know but it looks good on the first iteration of this deluxe edition he came up with. I can also say the same for his notes on his personal section at the end. I hope there's more of that. More personal questions answered. More information on the characters introduced. It's flavorful and gives this edition depth. I think it would make each book feel unique if it changes as well. I especially loved the few pages where he organized the myths introduced or alluded to per chapter and gave you a few titles to search so you'd look up some myths after the book. All of this make me feel the passion he has for his universe. I can't say there'll be more but I hope there are because this book set's a nice standard for his new deluxe edition line.

The Percy Jackson books are one of my favorite book series. I've started collecting hard copies of my favorite books to build a small home library, so when I saw this beauty, I had to snatch it up. Can't wait for more to be released!
