Review of PSG TQ-12I own and operate an Audio Visual rental and installation company for over 20 years. For larger corporate events we use the Midas M32R and have installed both Midas M32 and Behringer X32 consoles in many churches. We needed an additional digital console but with only 10 to 12 channels, flying faders, and the ability to save scenes. We took a chance with the TQ-12 and have been pleasantly surprised. The layout is pretty straight forward and easy to use. The flying faders are smooth and accurate. The mic pre’s are clean and very comparable to the X32.The eq and effects section is not nearly as sophisticated as the Midas or the Behringer but the overall sound quality absolutely matches the Behringer. Very clean and nice punchy sound. The Bluetooth worked at first and then I could not get it to sync to my iPhone. This was not a big deal as we never use Bluetooth in a professional environment. The Aux out’s worked flawlessly. The scribble strip or ability to label the channels is lacking as only minimal letters can be used and no color adjustment or icons are available. However based on the cost of the unit this was not an issue. The effects available are clean but very basic. There are a couple of functions that were pretty common sense based that had Chinese language but that’s about it for faults. It’s not a very large footprint and it’s lightweight. I have only tested it at our warehouse and have not tried connecting it to a iPad. I will know more about it after two or three months of use in the field. I went with a Gator Gmix 2121 case. If you are looking for an inexpensive Digital console with flying faders, quality mic pre’s, assignable Aux outs, 10 channels counting USB with a basic scribble strip you can’t beat it.
