This just saved my life from a fire caused by some shoddy electrical cables at my gandma’s house over in Europe, on the same day that I installed it!!! If it did not wake me up at 5 AM I would have either burned or have been intoxicated by fumesAlso, it seems to be much higher quality than what I am finding in commerce abroadAditionally, the sticker is super sticky and installing takes 1 minute. It also has a magnetic pad so you can easely take it off the ceiling to turn it off, and that magnetic connection comes in handy when you are in a panic and rushing to put out the fire!!I am now ordering an extinguisher too!

Our old smoke alarms were set off by the air fryer, these do not. They are small compact alarms, easy to install as they have 3M sticky pads and magnets. They do not need to be wired in, dont know if this is a good thing or bad. Batteries are replacable and they are very loud - enough to scare my dog!

A very neat product moderately priced. It is too early to tell how well it works - only time will tell and of course an emergency, which hopefully won't happen. What was very useful was the magnetic sticker, as it simplifies installation as it saves any need to find a strut to screw the device into. The instructions were useful. I found it best to stick the magnet onto the surface and leave it for a few hours so that takes well.

Easy enough to install with magnetic plate. Ceiling installation impractical for me as unsafe for me to do so installed on wall. Hope it works OK.

Nice compact smoke alarm, I got the twin pack as I needed to replace the one in the living room and one at the top of the stairs.Fitting was easy, install the supplied batteries, test, place the sticky pads on the ceiling and push hard on the metal magnetic plate then put the alarm on the metal plate. The whole fitting took less than five minutes.The battery has a 1 year lifespan and warns you about replacing it by a flashing light and a chirp.I test the alarm every 1-2weeks, just push the button for 5 seconds, the sound is ear piercing.

I have not been able to get the back off of this alarm and therefore cannot install the battery and cannot get it to work, I do not recommend this alarm!

This unit replaces a dead unit from my downstairs hallway. The alarm volume is adequate, and the unit is smaller than most.I particularly like the option of mounting with screws or large sticky magnetic disks. Whipped the old screws out and used the disks instead. When it comes to replacing it (or even the battery) I can just pull it off the ceiling.EDIT: Failed after just under a year. The device is emitting low battery beeps, despite the battery reading just under 9V. Put a new battery in (reads 9.2V) and it's still chirping! This thing is supposed to last 10 years!
