You need these
Wonderful, clear sound. Will be getting two more when I upgrade to a 7.2 system (currently running a 5.1). Very heavy so get good mounts if you're hanging from the wall or ceiling. They have a goofy footprint, kind of diamond like but I've always purchased speakers for their sound. Nice strong magnets hold the grills on to the face and they look good with or without the grills.

BEST SOUNDING SPEAKERS EVER! YOU NEED THESE!
I Purchased 2 of these RP240S along with 2 RP-280F's, RP-250C and 2 R-110SW to replace a Klipsch Quintet speaker system that could not handle the output of my Denon AVR-x1100w the Quintets sounded great until I really cranked it up! I think I blew the 2 front speakers. So it's time to upgrade! All I can say is WOW what a difference these Reference Premiere Speakers are the best sounding I have ever heard! The clarity of the vocals and surround sounds are incredible! I'm hearing things I've never heard before in movies! I highly recommend The Reference Premiere Series!!

180 degree of WOw!!!
The media could not be loaded. Man oh Man,I am very impressed by these speakers. Before buying these i had a set of Klipsch r-14m's for surrounds, and it was alright. But once i used the rp-240s for surrounds,it was like a wirlwind of sound coming from behind me. the rp-240s are bipolors, meaning they give 180 degree of sound. if you can afford it,get them!!

Eh.
Too big for the sound, I order a home theaters worth of Klipsch speakers after reading about them for weeks, needless to say I wasn't impressed, you would expect some extreme sound to go with that bulky size but I just wasn't hearing it, I replaced the Klipsch with Polk for half the price and the same if not better sounds. But sound is relative, so you may like them. I did not.

Just do it!
I've been re-listening to my blu-rays and can't believe what I've missed! I have them set up as bipole, rear surrounds in a 5.1, and they're infinitely better then the satellites I formerly had set up in 7.1. Although not the most attractive speakers I've seen with the screens on (wife is not impressed), the sound they produce makes up for the Vaderesque motif. Size constraints kept me from the RP-250Ss, and I'm very happy with the 240s. That said, even if I had the physical space, there is a significant price jump to the 250s. Perfect blending with my RP-160Ms and RP-440C.
