Well priced compared to almost all the alternatives
I bought this so that I could fit all of my gear in one bag and take it on an overseas job with me. I was really panicking about the measurements because it was fine on paper for most airlines but on the edge for American Airlines allowance which was my connecting flight after british airways. It was packed to the hilt and everything inside was even bubble wrapped and it slid perfectly into the luggage checker at the airport and American Airlines didn't even bat an eyelid. When you see the size of the bags some people walk on with you'll feel much more at ease with this bag.I bought a lowepro bag 5 years ago for the price of this bag now and this bag fits an additional body, two additional lenses, a laptop and an ipad! My kit list currently in the bag and what traveled with me from the uk to the British Virgin Islands isIn the main bagTwo nikon pro bodies. One with extra battery grip attached2 nikon sb900 flash gunsSigma 12-24mmNikon 50mmNikon 24-70 attached to bodySigma 70-20018-55 vr for video work2 grid attachments for the flash gunsNd filter and polariser in their casesSun sniper strap I then have various accessories in the pockets inside and outside. It's pretty heavy with all that inside but I survived two plane trips, a taxi and a ferry there and back and the bag still looks brand new and my back isn't broken either.

its big, great to carry large lenses and extras when your travelling...
this is brilliant, ive put a 500mm Nikon prime lens in this bag no problem...i have got several bags for travelling and camera gear but this is by far the best bag i own. its extremely well made and feels good on your back, good padding and will take a biiiiig lens...the only problem is of course the airline weight restrictions, i have just put my lens in it and when i get to the destination i transfer all my kit to it. Love ittttt.....

Be warned, false advertising
With the stricter regulations regarding the carry-on sizes on EU flights, I was looking for a slimmer alternative to my trusty old Lowepro ProRunner 350AW (mk1). With 26mm depth it's a no-go on most flights. It was also beginning to show it's age, and with the transition from DSLR to FF mirrorless, I needed something lighter as well. After a thorough research, browsing the sizes, weight and layout of all kind of brands, I decided on the Think Thank Airport Commuter. It's smaller, lighter than my Lowepro, but still has a few features I loved the Lowepro had: it has zipper pockets inside that can hold filters. Sadly, that feature is not a common thing in bags nowadays. One side of the bag has a superflous handle instead of another water bottle holder or a tripod strap, but okay, no bag is perfect. However, upon arrival I instantly realized the manufacturer was not honest regarding the dimensions of the bag. It is much beefier than the numbers say: it's external depth is not 21.6 mm, it's more like 26mm. Basically the same size as my Lowepro. A pointless purchase.Returned it and ordered the smaller sized Airport Essentials instead. That's too small on paper, I hope it will be the right size then.Be warned! Don't trust ThinkTank's product descriptions!

Great bag, though a bit too large for RyanAir cabin (still worked fine for me)
I used the bag for good 2 years now, made multiple flights, and it really works great for travel. It's flexibility allows you to fit almost anything inside - clothes, water, laptop, netbook, iPad, lenses of various sizes, got additional space for filters and wires, etc. I've been climbing up to nearly 2000MAMSL with this bag full of stuff and it still felt comfortable. The only real flaw is it's size: 31.6 x 45.7 x 21.6cm - that's tiny bit bigger than a RyanAir cabin bag maximum dimensions of 40cm x 55cm x 20cm. Luckily enough I never was asked to fit my bag into that bag size testing tray.... but... just in case - you want to be able to squeeze it a little bit, so don't pack it above it's natural size when lying empty.

Build Like a tank
Since i,m a satisfied owner of several Lowepro bags i,ve been looking for the ProRunner 350W or 400W at this stage , but in my searches for alternatives i realise that this Think Thank even if more expensive look 's like a very interesting option.I give it a try , sorry Lowepro guys .This bag is amazing well build and robust with Zippers that run like butter , the storage capacity is exactly what i was looking for , discrete and formal i will use it also for my usual business traveling even if i just have a camera body and a lens , you can reorganise it and fit whatever you want.

Probably the best you can get
This is an expensive item of luggage but if you value your equipment then it's an easy cost to justify. I also use it without my camera gear as a travel bag and it's excellent for that too.The front pocket accommodates my Think Tank Artificial Intelligence 15 bag with a MacBook Pro inside so I can move cameras, lenses and laptop in a single piece of luggage. This is a well made product with top quality materials and zips but looks very understated and doesn't attract attention.

think tank airport commutor backpack
this bag is just right to get all my gear in , I have put my Nikon D800 fitted with my 70 -200 F2-8, along side my Nikon 14-24 F2-8 and my Nikon 24-70 F2-8, my Nikon MB-D12 battery grip, my Nikon SB 910 speed light , my canon EOS 1DX , my can 24-70 F2-8 which think is great , but will need to remove some when I fly to keep the weight down , I find it easy walking around with this bag highly recommended

Really good bag
is really good and really though, also is lighter that many others and is definitely made for photographers. I do not like much that has quite 'sharp' corners, I would it like it more round, but its fine.
